Their service area includes New Westminster, Tri-Cities, and Ridge Meadows, as well as the villages of Anmore and Belcarra.
Doug's education includes a B.Com. and an M.B.A., both from the University of Alberta. He brings a diverse array of experience to Home Instead, having had successful careers in financial planning, municipal government , and business ownership. Following the sale of his retail business in 2012, the search was on for something more fulfilling and personal. Home Instead Senior Care is perfect in this regard and forms a logical extension of the caregiving he performed for both of his parents.
Judy's background is also diverse. She has an extensive background in marketing and sales within the telecommunications industry. In addition she partnered with Doug in the highly successful retail business for 10 years. Judy has always wanted to follow her life-long dream of working in a caring role and Home Instead affords this opportunity. Judy is active in the community in which she works and looks forward to a rich and rewarding tenure in serving the seniors in the region.
Doug and Judy are excited to serve the senior population in their territory. They look forward to applying their talents and compassion to creating a positive living environment for seniors who want to remain in their homes.
Cheryl has been active in the health care field for over 20
years. Previously, she was Admitting Clerk in emergency at St. Paul’s Hospital.
As well, she has over four years scheduling experience and one year as Regional
Recruitment Data Coordinator for a large health care company. Cheryl also
has a degree in child care and has worked in a group home setting as a
Residential Care Worker. Cheryl was born and raised in Scotland. She enjoys
painting and drawing. She will be getting married on Sept 4, 2016 to Rob,
and they are the proud owners of a rescue basset hound called Furrlie.
Susan joined our team as a CAREGiver in March of 2015, and
soon after was promoted to Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. She brings a
wealth of knowledge from her many years and diverse positions within telecommunications.
Her objective is to have the best CAREGivers who are empathetic, flexible, kind
and passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors. Susan earned a
BA at Simon Fraser University in Women’s Studies with a focus on disenfranchised
women in society, in particular seniors. Her passion is to help people to live
healthy active lives. As a yoga teacher, she teaches seniors and women in
prison with the intention to guide them to value themselves and their bodies.
