Today, Home Instead Senior Care Foundation is celebrating #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages people to turn their spending into donating. With Thanksgiving and the busy shopping days behind us, today is the perfect day to support nonprofits that are vital to the seniors in their communities.
This year, we’re celebrating #GivingTuesday by offering $50,000 in matching dollars. Here’s how it works. As you know, earlier this year the Foundation launched GIVE65, the nation’s first and only crowd-fundraising platform specifically focused on seniors and the nonprofits serving them. Currently sixty-five nonprofits from around the United States are celebrating #GivingTuesday at GIVE65.org by working diligently in their communities to raise funds to support the programs and services they offer to seniors. Every nonprofit participating at GIVE65.org has the opportunity to receive up to $5,000 in matching funds. That means your donation has the potential to go twice as far. But once the $50,000 matching funds have been awarded, they’re gone. So the time to give is now!
I encourage you visit GIVE65.org to learn more about the participating nonprofits. You can search by category, location or name. You can also visit the Foundation’s page to see our fundraising projects, including our very own GIVE65 Incentive Fund. With your support, we are able to help even more seniors through matching dollars and financial awards available to participating nonprofits. Matching dollars provide an extra incentive to donors and truly inspire greater charitable giving in support of seniors most in need of these services.
Regardless of your giving choice, seniors will benefit from your generosity. As you know, with the senior population rapidly growing, the need for senior-focused programs and services only continues to grow. Your donation will create hope for seniors everywhere! We appreciate your generosity and are grateful for your support of Home Instead Senior Care Foundation.
