With a career as a Home Support Worker at Home Instead Senior Care, you can help an older adult by offering individualized one-on-one care. You’ll share your unique talents and experiences to help seniors stay independent at home, instead of anywhere else.
Whether you take pride in cooking or baking for family, carpooling for your kids' sports teams or providing TLC for a sick friend, your experience and skills can help an older person remain living at home. Whether you have life experience or formal training, if you are dependable, compassionate and are known for your common sense, you can impact the life of a senior and their family more than you can imagine.
The type of care you provide to our clients depends on your skills, interests, and personality. Potential duties include, but are not limited to:
Companionship and conversation
Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
Medication and appointment reminders
Accompanying clients to appointments
Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
Although not required, you may also care for clients who require assistance with Dementia or personal care.
Home Instead Senior Care commits to ongoing skill development of our staff by providing paid training and ongoing support. Daytime, evening, overnight and weekend hours are offered. Group medical benefits with employer contributions are also available.
Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English and, upon hire, provide a clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check as well as a current first aid/CPR certification.
