Mayor Mike Savage and Deputy Chief of Police, Robin MacNeil joined Home Instead Senior Care to delivery donated gifts to seniors for the holidays.

For the past eleven years, Home Instead Senior Care's 'Be a Santa to a Senior' program has collected and delivered over 16,000 gifts. This year we delivered over 1500 gifts to seniors, which is only possible due to the support of thousands of donors and the assistance of the Halifax Regional Police.

On December 12th, volunteers wrapped the gifts. On December 14th, the gifts were delivered by Halifax Regional Police to local seniors who may be isolated or lacking the financial means
to purchase everything they need throughout the year.

We are thanking everyone who joined us to bring some holiday cheer to seniors in our community this year!
