Both Mark and Lesley grew up with grandparents living with them. That was the norm "way back then." They could see the joys their grandparents brought to their homes, as well as the added stress their parents had in supporting them. When looking for second careers, they focused on senior care, understanding that in this day and age, it's no longer common to invite Grandma or Grandad to move in with their children and grandchildren. Allowing seniors to live safely and independently in their homes for as long as possible resonated with them, and found to be a reasonable goal to help other local families achieve the same for their families.
Lisa, joined the Home Instead team in April of 2010. She has over 25 years of experience working with seniors. Most of those years were working with seniors with Alzheimer's or other Dementia's. Lisa visits with potential clients and does an assessment of home care needs, offering recommendations for care plans and changes to increase senior safety at home. Lisa works with the client and the family to develop an individualized Care Plan. She ensures that clients are best matched with compatible CAREGivers to receive the highest standard of care. Lisa maintains personal, ongoing communication with the client and their family, as well as their CAREGiver
Shaun works with the office team to ensure service meets client expectations. He handles the payroll and invoicing aspects, as well as any consultations or introductions that may need to be done. Shaun has many years of experience in Customer Service and truly enjoys meeting with clients and caregivers.
Lise is the first point of contact for all prospective clients looking for information regarding our services. Lise walks you through the process of what to expect in terms of setting up care plans, caregiver selection, scheduling, and creating a perfect experience into the world of home care!
Stephanie is in charge of hiring potentical caregivers, as well as keeping our current caregivers morale up. She is involved in planning all Caregiver events. Stephanie is also the main staffing coordinator for all East End clients. She comes from a vast background in Admin work, and spends a great deal of her time giving back to the community.
Caitlin is our main staffing coordinator for all West End Clients. Caitlin comes from an educational background in the healthcare field, and most recently was working at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Angie is primarily on the road meeting with clients to establish, and update, care plans during her regular quality assurance visits. She is also involved in maintaining the franchise's social media pages.
Margot meets with community partners to promote the quality services we offer and how Home Instead can help their clients.
After Hours Staffing Queen Kathy has the unenviable task of dealing with calls after 5:00pm. Staffing is always a stressful role, particularly after 5:00pm.
