Meet Our Friendly Team

Alistair Hicks

Alistair Hicks.jpgAs a husband and a father to three children, the family is incredibly important to Alistair. It’s one of the reasons he joined Home Instead Senior Care, working first in Japan to help expand the franchise, then in Eastern Canada.

He established Home Instead Senior Care® of Victoria over 12 years ago. Today, Alistair leads a large, dynamic team who are dedicated to helping seniors live independently at home.

Allen Reed

Allen Reed.jpgAllen gets around.  He grew up in Texas (you can tell by his accent) and then lived in Manhattan, New York for 20 years prior to arriving in Victoria last year. He has worked as both Human Resources and Operations Manager throughout North America.

Allen joined Home Instead in January 2016, where he is enjoying the Home Instead focus on caring and making a difference in people’s lives. Around the office, he is known for his wide variety of skills, helpful disposition, and his great coffee.

On the weekends, Allen enjoys cycling, waterfalls, antiques, the ocean, and the people of the west coast.

Lacey Lanktree
Lacey is an active person-cLacey 1.jpgentred advocate. After growing up in Elliot Lake Ontario, known as one of the top retirement locations in Canada, she completed her Undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology at Trent University. In 2016, she moved to White Rock, British Colombia to further her education and obtained a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University.
Lacey has had the privilege of building a strong relationship with each of her four grandparents they serve as a constant reminder to Lacey of how to interact with all clients and their loved ones.
In having an aging demographic imbedded throughout Lacey’s life, she joined our team to fulfill her instinct of helping aging-older-adults maintain a high level of autonomy and independence throughout their life course.

Lorraine Stevens

Lorraine Stevens 2.jpgLorraine grew up in Victoria’s Gordon head area. She has always loved seniors and has spent the last 20+ years working with them. She’s delighted to join Home Instead Senior Care to bring her knowledge and experience to the Service Coordinator role.

Lorraine likes to spend her free time hanging out with her family walking, hiking, and beachcombing.

Sawyer Herron

Sawyer Herron

Sawyer is our Home Care Consultant and Community out Reach Manager.

He has been organizing community care based initiatives throughout his college and athletic careers.

Sawyer grew up in Ontario where he treasured most of his days with his grandparents.  His close ties continues to influence his passions today.  Sawyer moved to Victoria in 2012 to follow his dream of becoming a Canadian Rugby player. Although he made it to senior levels, an injury ended that dream.  At that point, he delved deep into his love of archeology which led to a degree in Archeology from the University of Victoria.  In those years at University, Sawyer was very involved in community activities including managing groups, fund raising, and health management programs.

Looking for what was next he cycled back to the love for his grandparents. This took him to working in various Care Communities.  Continuing to expand his love for the aging population he welcomed the opportunity to work for Home Instead Senior Care.  We are thankful to have Sawyer and his cheerful dynamic personality on our team.
