Home Instead Senior Care provides high quality care to help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. We are a rapidly growing company with offices worldwide. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of medical and non-medical services that allow seniors to meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Some of our clients only require a little help around the house to remain safe and independent. Other clients have more advanced needs and require more complex care. Many of our clients still live in their homes while some are living in Facilities.

We are looking for caring and compassionate Health Care Aids (HCA) to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.

What we offer our employees:

Only ONE client per shift (minimum of 3 hour shifts) so that you can focus on the client and not just the tasks.

Areas of assistance may include:

  • Meal preparation
  • Transportation
  • Companionship and social activities

  • Palliative/End of life care

Job Requirements:

  • HCA certificate required
  • Have a genuine compassion for seniors.
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check and provide 2 professional and 2 personal references
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess a reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance
  • Must be able to read and write in English at an extremely high level, a second language is also an asset
  • Be able to commit to a set schedule

Weekend CAREGiver to Seniors

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for Part Time CAREGivers to join us in our mission of serving Calgary and Okotoks seniors! No formal experience or certification is needed. You bring the heart, patience and reliability. We provide you with world class training and support to help you become a successful, professional CAREGiver. Successful applicants will have exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to build relationships.

Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Working with seniors who have Dementia

Client Care Coordinator/ LPN

Home Instead Senior Care® is looking for one more special person to join our team as a Client Care Coordinator. This role requires an active LPN registration. The Client Care Coordinator works closely with families who are looking for care solutions for their loved ones. To be successful the candidate must:

  • Be very well spoken, with excellent writing skills
  • Have some Home Care Experience
  • Be well organized
  • Be able to multi task with a busy work pace
  • Have confidence when making care decisions

This position involves speaking with family members who are searching for answers to their senior loved ones care needs. You will interact with a variety of different people who are at different stages of their care journey,
Your experience as an LPN will help you to counsel and advise. This role is responsible for effectively managing multiple demands that come with the changing needs of clients.  This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced organization and possess excellent communication skills, be service-oriented and have the ability to work well in a team environment. Your health care background will help you understand the unique challenges our clients face. You will be busy and we are looking for that special person who loves hard work!
 
The Client Care Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties that relate to client care including care consultations with potential clients and family members, client/CAREGiverSM introductions and quality assurance visits with existing clients. They use the consultative sales approach to determine each individual client’s needs to provide solutions and create a tailored service plan. They continuously evaluate the plan through a series of ongoing communications and visits to ensure high quality care, client satisfaction and retention as well as opportunities to increase service hours.

This leadership position will include teaching, training and delegating expanded scope medical tasks to our unregulated workforce. This will include classroom training, as well as in home visits to train and support our amazing CAREGivers. 

This is a full time position with some evening and one in four weekends on call. 


Qualifications
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication
  • Direct experience working with Seniors and their families
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare
  • Experience with sales and customer service
  • Reliable transportation
  • LPN registration
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
