After a successful career working in the telecommunication industry, Wendy found her calling in educating the public about senior care and care options. Wendy is most passionate about educating families on how to improve the quality of life of their senior loved ones and how to give them back their dignity. Wendy can be seen throughout the city at hospitals, senior homes, lodges, centres and facilities as well as trade shows and medical clinics always wiling to provide resources or simply listen to the needs of our amazing healthcare professionals.
Amanda started with Home Instead over 3 years ago as the HR Assistant followed by spending time in client care and HR and gradually moved into the General Manager role. Amanda is continually coaching and guiding the Home Instead team to help meet the requests and changing needs of our clients and their families. With over 20 years of customer service experience, Amanda knows what it takes to provide exceptional service and great care to all who trust in Home Instead Senior Care.
Cathy Lymburner naturally stepped into the role of Client Care Coordinator. In a short time she has proven to be a force in establishing a respectful and trusting rapport with clients and their families. Prior to her long-term care work as an LPN she had a long time career--owned and operated a successful business as a salon owner and stylist--her clients referring to her as their ‘hair-a-pist’. Her authentic approach to developing relationships with people continued on with her success working with families and their loved ones, building care plans, advocating for well being, dignity and autonomy—working with all members of the health care team and leading her care team for continuity of care—appreciating each person is unique and requires different care and support. Cathy extends this knowledge and expertise when she stepped in to assist her parents in their home as her father’s mobility was on the decline and her mother’s progression of Alzheimer’s was making home life challenging them for them both. This experience has provided her a wealth of insight and perceptive on the emotional and physical journey, seniors, families and caregivers endure and supports required to help one another. Her authentic and compassionate approach, combined with her vast range of skills, knowledge and abilities allows her to bridge the gap between families and caregivers, adapting to the ever changing needs of our seniors to provide exceptional continuity of care.
With the help of the client care coordinators, Jolene strives to find the most compatibility between Home Instead Senior Care CAREGivers and clients. With tact and mindfulness, she engages future employees and clients to become excited about joining Home Instead Senior Care. Jolene’s self-starting personality is essential in her responsibilities when working on a variety of tasks within the office and thereby setting everyone up for success.
Michelle has been with Home Instead Senior Care for the past year working with seniors and their families to create care plans that best fits their needs. Michelle has 8 years experience working on a busy medical unit and is able to bring her assessment skills and knowledge to the Home Instead Senior Care team. Michelle is driven to make sure all seniors are cared for with compassion, dignity and respect.
