Home Instead Senior Care is currently looking for CAREGiver’s that want to make a difference in the lives of others. We offer flexible schedules, competitive wages and a great team of compassionate people to work alongside with.   • Assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Providing transportation to and from appointments
  • Assist with personal care needs
  • Specialized Alzheimer's caregiving 
 
 All successful applicants must meet the following essential requirements:
 
  • Have a valid driver's license and access to your own reliable and fully insured vehicle.
  • Willing to travel to the homes of the client in the areas served by our business, whether it be in a private home or facility
  • Strong written documentation and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to commit to the same schedule weekly
  • Complete a criminal background check, a vulnerable sector check, 3 professional and personal references
  • Supportive team player that interacts well with our Client Care and Scheduling Supervisory teams
​We are currently serving NW, NE and parts of SE Calgary and have growing number of shifts available with competitive pay and offer ongoing training opportunities. Paid training will be provided for personal care and dementia care.

Client Care Manager / Home Health Scheduler

Home Instead Senior Care is a non-medical home care agency located in Calgary, AB that provides in home care to the elderly. Our territory largely covers the NW/NE/SE area.  Our goal is to help our clients remain independent for as long as possible while providing a quality of life that they may not be able to reach without in home assistance. To Us It's Personal. 

As a Client Care Manager, you will be joining a small office team and a diverse team of home care professionals. We are a quickly growing, dynamic organization going in to our 3rd year of business. We are seeking an optimistic career minded individual who enjoys giving customer support in a fast paced and at times, stressful, environment. Must be people oriented, able to multi-task, extremely organized, detail oriented and able to pull many pieces together. Experience in the medical field a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Creativity and desire to serve others is key. Overall, we are seeking a person that has the heart of a caregiver and is willing to go the extra mile because they know that at the end of the day, what they do is changing lives.

Duties will include, but are not be limited to:

  • Scheduling Personal Care Aides
  • Customer service/support
  • Administrative duties including billing
  • Quarterly site visits to clients (must be willing to drive)
  • Client/Caregiver relations
  • Matching up clients/caregivers by personality, availability, location and skill level
  • Coaching and counseling caregivers
  • Email/phone communications
  • Confirming schedules for billing & payroll
  • On-call (handling call offs & emergency situations)

Base hours are 9-5, M-F but there is a mandatory rotating on-call schedule that includes weeknights and weekends.

Candidate must have a driver license and a clear background check and we are a drug free work place.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Administrative Duties: 1 year (Required)
  • Customer Service: 2 years (Required)
  • Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school (Required)

License:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Language:

  • English (Required)
