Doug and Judy are proud to be the new owners of Home Instead Senior Care with an office in Port Coquitlam, having purchased the business in March of 2015. Their service area includes New Westminster, Tri-Cities, and Ridge Meadows, as well as the villages of Anmore and Belcarra.

Doug's education includes a B.Com. and an M.B.A., both from the University of Alberta. He brings a diverse array of experience to Home Instead, having had successful careers in financial planning, municipal government , and business ownership. Following the sale of his retail business in 2012, the search was on for something more fulfilling and personal. Home Instead Senior Care is perfect in this regard and forms a logical extension of the caregiving he performed for both of his parents.

Judy's background is also diverse. She has an extensive background in marketing and sales within the telecommunications industry. In addition she partnered with Doug in the highly successful retail business for 10 years. Judy has always wanted to follow her life-long dream of working in a caring role and Home Instead affords this opportunity. Judy is active in the community in which she works and looks forward to a rich and rewarding tenure in serving the seniors in the region.

Doug and Judy are excited to serve the senior population in their territory. They look forward to applying their talents and compassion to creating a positive living environment for seniors who want to remain in their homes.​​

​Mandi has been with the Home Instead family for over a year and brings over a decade of experience in our industry. Her background is extensive and diverse, including seniors’ recreation, wellness marketing and sales, and administration and caregiver scheduling. She is a people-person who especially enjoys our seniors, who offer so much in the way of stories and experiences. Mandi believes aging should be active and engaged. She feels the key to a happy, healthy life is understanding when a bit of help may be needed to continue living involved, rewarding lives.

Bonnie McDonald is new to Home Instead in her role as a Community Care Coordinator. Over the last several years she has worked as a Coordinator at Fraser Health Lifeline, and Philips Lifeline. She brings with her over 20 + years experience working directly with seniors in the healthcare field where she worked as a Certified Care Aide. She is passionate about working with seniors and believes that home is best for seniors if it is safe, healthy, and they are thriving at home. She loves knowing that every day she can make a difference in the life of our seniors as well as their families. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and serving her community. She has organized many fundraisers in her community and believes in giving back. ​
