Meet Our Team
Denielle1

Denielle Cuoco, Co-Owner

Denielle Cuoco has provided Niagara with exceptional senior care for the region's ageing loved ones since she opened the doors in 2013. A strong bond with her grandparents inspired Denielle to pursue a career in caring for seniors. What originally started as a way to feel connected to them while she lived away from Niagara evolved into her finding Home Instead.

Denielle has spent years working and volunteering with seniors in several communities: Ottawa, Kelowna, Wichita, Savannah, Montreal and back to where it all started in Niagara. This exposure has provided Denielle with a unique perspective on how best to care for our ageing loved ones.

Now that she is working with Home Instead, an organization with a global reach, she can continue to learn from her international counterparts.

"I am very fortunate to love my work. I can collaborate with others to ensure the most positive outcome for the clients and the families that we work with."

With over 25 years of personal and professional experience and a post-grad diploma in Health Services Administrations from Dalhousie University, she can share her experiences and be a resource for Niagara families.

Denielle also wants to enjoy being home back in Niagara. She is comforted by being in a familiar place and having the opportunity to share her childhood town with her children.
Cook Jonathan Square

Jonathan Cook, Co-Owner

Jonathan Cook has been beside Denielle in this journey of providing quality senior care to Niagara since the beginning. As an aerospace engineer, Jonathan's work has brought the two all over Canada and the U.S. After thought and consideration, they decided to return to Denielle's hometown of Niagara Falls and open Home Instead.

Caring for a loved one is not an easy task, and Jonathan's experience as a caregiver started early. His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought hard for 8 years. At 16, he became her support, taking care of her, the house and attending school.

Years later, Jonathan became a primary caregiver for his grandmother. She was a widower, had lost both her children to cancer and was diagnosed with dementia. She was Home Instead Niagara's first client at the age of 96.

Jonathan has experienced many of the same challenges that other families go through when caring for an ageing or ailing loved one. He has first-hand knowledge of balancing it all; school, career, relationships, parenting young children, all while caring for a family member. This has provided him with deep empathy for the families we support.

It may take a village to raise a child, but Jonathan believes it also takes a community to support our seniors. That is what Jonathan and Denielle have strived to create: a community to support and assist both seniors and their loved ones.
