About Us

Meet Our Team

Denielle Cuoco, Co-Owner

Denielle Cuoco has provided Niagara with exceptional senior care for the region's ageing loved ones since she opened the doors in 2013. A strong bond with her grandparents inspired Denielle to pursue a career in caring for seniors. What originally started as a way to feel connected to them while she lived away from Niagara evolved into her finding Home Instead.

Denielle has spent years working and volunteering with seniors in several communities: Ottawa, Kelowna, Wichita, Savannah, Montreal and back to where it all started in Niagara. This exposure has provided Denielle with a unique perspective on how best to care for our ageing loved ones.

Now that she is working with Home Instead, an organization with a global reach, she can continue to learn from her international counterparts.

"I am very fortunate to love my work. I can collaborate with others to ensure the most positive outcome for the clients and the families that we work with."

With over 25 years of personal and professional experience and a post-grad diploma in Health Services Administrations from Dalhousie University, she can share her experiences and be a resource for Niagara families.

Denielle also wants to enjoy being home back in Niagara. She is comforted by being in a familiar place and having the opportunity to share her childhood town with her children.
Cook Jonathan Square

Jonathan Cook, Co-Owner

Jonathan Cook has been beside Denielle in this journey of providing quality senior care to Niagara since the beginning. As an aerospace engineer, Jonathan's work has brought the two all over Canada and the U.S. After thought and consideration, they decided to return to Denielle's hometown of Niagara Falls and open Home Instead.

Caring for a loved one is not an easy task, and Jonathan's experience as a caregiver started early. His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought hard for 8 years. At 16, he became her support, taking care of her, the house and attending school.

Years later, Jonathan became a primary caregiver for his grandmother. She was a widower, had lost both her children to cancer and was diagnosed with dementia. She was Home Instead Niagara's first client at the age of 96.

Jonathan has experienced many of the same challenges that other families go through when caring for an ageing or ailing loved one. He has first-hand knowledge of balancing it all; school, career, relationships, parenting young children, all while caring for a family member. This has provided him with deep empathy for the families we support.

It may take a village to raise a child, but Jonathan believes it also takes a community to support our seniors. That is what Jonathan and Denielle have strived to create: a community to support and assist both seniors and their loved ones.

Paul McPherson, Service Coordinator

Paul McPherson is the office Service Coordinator and has been a member of the Home Instead team since 2016. He is usually the first person that you will speak to when you call our office.

Paul is a long-time resident of the Niagara region, having moved here to attend school over two decades ago.
Paul has worked in a variety of industries and positions during his working life. This has allowed him to accumulate a wide variety of skills.
Headshot Hannah Square

Hannah Rose, Client Care Coordinator

Hannah Rose completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Brock, as well as her research-based master’s in science degree. It is during Hannah’s education at Brock where she first had the opportunity to volunteer with older adults, individuals with spinal cord injury and individuals with multiple sclerosis. Hannah furthered her interest in working with seniors by combining this with her interest in yoga and completing her Gentle Yoga Instructors for Senior’s certification. Hannah has taught group lessons for older adults at the Brock-Niagara Center for Well-being and conducted customized personal exercise programs for older individuals. She has always held great value in helping others and wanted to continue to expand her work with individuals with multiple sclerosis, but rather than in an exercise setting, as a personal care giver in someone’s home. This was one of the most rewarding job experiences she has had and taught her the challenges and experiences of those aging and living with a disability in their home.

Through Hannah’s passion for helping others and her personal work experiences she is able to empathetically manage our client’s care as the Client Care Coordinator.
Alison Head

Alison Znidarsic, Marketing Coordinator

Alison has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience and specializes in business development. She graduated with presidential honors from Niagara College with an International Business Diploma. During the pandemic she had had a change of heart and found her passion became more focused on being a care giver for the last year. She is now a Home Care Consultant and a care giver at Home Instead.

When she is not busy with her two roles at Home Instead she is a dedicated mother and adventurer with her 8 year old son. Her loyal dog Hunny guides their adventures to the beach, the short hills, DeCew Falls and all-around Niagara. For some much relaxing down time she is learning to play the Harp.
