Paul Hogan, Co-Founder & Chairman

Paul Hogan founded Home Instead Senior Care® with his wife Lori in 1994. Today, the franchise network is the world's leading provider of home care services for seniors, with more than 1,100 independently owned and operated franchise offices that provide more than 80 million hours of care annually.  

Hogan has served as Governor for the Future of Health and Health Care System at the World Economic Forum and as a Steward for the World Economic Forum’s System on the Future of Education, Gender and Work. He also previously served as the Vice Chair for the Global Agenda Council on Ageing at the World Economic Forum.

In 2016, Hogan became a member of the World Dementia Council (WDC), which was formed after the G8 Dementia Summit.  The WDC had been supported by British Prime Minister David Cameron and the UK government and is now an independent body including 24 global leaders from all sectors – business, science, philanthropy, industry, academia, government, nonprofits and advocacy groups.  The WDC focuses on five areas: finance, drug development, data sharing, care improvements and risk reduction.     

For his success in exporting the home care business concept to other countries, Hogan was awarded the “E” Award by the U.S.  Department of Commerce in May 2008. This award, which was presented at a White House ceremony, is one of the highest honors the federal government presents to individuals, firms or organizations that have made a significant contribution to American exports.  In 2016, Home Instead was honored with the “E Star” Award for sustained excellence in exporting.    

In recognition of his contribution to franchising, Hogan was named the Entrepreneur of the Year for 2006 by the International Franchise Association.   

Hogan co-authored, Stages of Senior Care (McGraw-Hill), a USA Today Bestseller. Proceeds from book sales go to the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, which provides financial support to non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life of older adults.

Lori Hogan co-founded Home Instead Senior Care® in 1994 with her husband, Paul.  Now the largest senior care company in the world, Home Instead Senior Care has more than 1,100 franchises in 14 countries.  Home Instead franchise owners hire CAREGiversSM who provide services such as companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, personal care, and support and education, including Alzheimer’s care and and hospice support that enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.   

A former Miss Nebraska USA, Lori is a University of Nebraska at Omaha graduate and currently serves on the boards of Nebraska Family Alliance, The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, The Home Instead Center for Successful Aging at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Broadway Dreams and is chair of American Heart Association Sweetheart Program.  In her role, Lori frequently meets with and advocates for CAREGiversSM  and mentors youth in the Omaha community.

Lori authored, Strength for the Moment, a book to encourage and celebrate caregivers. The proceeds of this book go to the Home Instead Foundation.

JohnHogan.jpgJohn Hogan, Chief Development Officer

John Hogan serves in the role of chief development officer working strategically with many of the company’s leaders on the performance of Home Instead’s core business, as well as, many of its affiliate businesses. John started his career at Home Instead Senior Care in 1995 as manager of the Omaha franchise office, which was the company's only franchise at the time. Since then, John has served as franchise training manager, vice president of Operations and vice president for Training and Technology.

Jeff Huber, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Home Instead, Inc., Jeff Huber oversees strategic planning and advocacy for the Home Instead Senior Care network; provides leadership on key initiatives; and manages the day-to-day operations of the Global Headquarters. He has also increased the organization’s commitment to leadership development and training to empower professional and family caregivers and to advance the mission of Home Instead Senior Care: To enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.

Jeff previously served in the role of President and CEO from 2015-2019. Other roles he’s held have been chief administrative officer, chief development officer and vice president of franchise development. Jeff joined Home Instead, Inc. in 1998 as franchise development manager.  

Jeff’s passion for creating a better world for all individuals to grow older in extends beyond providing the highest quality care to Home Instead clients. He works to advance support and policies for working family caregivers, grow and professionalize the global caregiver workforce, and inspire individuals to care for and serve the senior community.

Jeff is a frequent speaker on aging topics at events on the national and global stage, including the Silver Economy Forum, the Financial Times Dementia Summit and the Milken Future of Health Summit. He is a member of AARP CEO Champions, Fast Company Impact Council, G100 Network and the World Economic Forum, among other board and leadership positions in his industry and community.

Jeff graduated magna cum laude from the Creighton University School of Law and summa cum laude from Creighton University. Jeff practiced law for four years, including two years as a law clerk for a United States District Court judge.
