Shawn Turcotte

Shawn Turcotte

Owner & Managing Director

Shawn is a trained Respiratory Therapist and proud owner of Home Instead Senior Care. He earned his BA from Laurentian University, a diploma in Respiratory Therapy from Canadore College, an Advanced Respiratory Therapist Diploma in Science from California College of Health Sciences, and last, an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Shawn is also a registered CPCA, a Certified Professional Consultant on Ageing. Shawn grew up in North Bay Ontario where his parents and siblings continue to reside. For the past 20 years, Shawn has worked in both Canada and the US as a clinician and in management of several health programs including respiratory therapy, community care, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging in both tertiary and community centres. He is particularly proud of his achievements working in healthcare and the awards he received for his contribution towards excellence in leadership in professional development. In addition to being a successful small business owner, Shawn is a dedicated father, husband, colleague, and friend. He lives in Edmonton with his wife Aarthi, sons Ashton and Nikhil and their daughter Arianna. Shawn has spent most of his adult life improving the quality of life for others. After a rewarding period spent developing the next generation of health care professionals both in clinical and academic settings, Shawn is eager to continue his journey of care by taking the lead, sharing his heart, and changing the face of ageing for seniors and their families.

Team Lead/Client Care Coordinator

Kimberly has had many roles at Home Instead including marketing and scheduling. Helping others is not just a job for her it's her passion. Before coming to Home Instead, Kim was a massage therapist for 15 years. Kim is exceptional at connecting with her clients and their families and bringing solutions to their care needs.

Human Resources

In her role in Human Resources, Rita Robinson is dedicated to finding the right people to properly care for our seniors. She understands the role, value, and importance of a Caregiver as she was one herself for 9 years with Home Instead West. It was a difficult decision to move into the office position as she enjoyed her time caring for her clients and building those strong relationships. Rita enjoys reading, outdoor adventures, and spending time with her family and friends. Rita always has a positive attitude as she works hard to help others whenever she can.

Quinne Gawlik

Engagement Coordinator

As a former Caregiver and HCA, Quinne has an excellent understanding on how to create a positive work environment for Care Pro's. She previously worked as an HCA at Royal Alexandra Hospital in internal medicine before joining the Home Instead team. Although she loved being a caregiver, she is very excited to be able to support and engage with Care Pro's here at Home Instead.

Ruth Gonzalez

RN/Client Care Coordinator

Ruth is our RN/Client Care Coordinator here at our Home Instead office. She has an extensive background in nursing and takes pride in providing our clients and Care Pro's with support and guidance. She is very dedicated to ensuring each client is satisfied and well taken care of.

As a Client Care Co-ordinator, Cindy is dedicated to providing current and future clients of Home Instead Senior Care a commitment of dedication to support the unique needs of our families each and every day. It is a passion of Cindys to be part of a team that strives to bring independence, strength and well-being to our community of Seniors and their families.

Judith Aisha

Staffing Coordinator

Has a bachelor degree in Law at the University of Kinshasa and a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Monroe College in the US. As a heath care aide herself, Judith worked in various healthcare institutions before joining the staffing coordinator team at her previous job where she worked as a community staffing coordinator. Judith joined Home Instead in early September and brought a different approach and perspective to scheduling. With over 10years of experience in healthcare, Judith understands clients care needs of a personalized service by providing quality caregivers who meet their needs and criteria with the right personality and skills.
