Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Health Care Aides—we call ours Care Professionals—to become a part of our team and join our mission of expanding the world’s capacity to care. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Personal Care which includes bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care

Qualifications:

• HCA Alberta Directory Registered
• Valid CPR and First Aide Certificate
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check with a vulnerable sector check, 2 professional and personal references
• Have full access to their own vehicle and a valid driver's license for each shift
• You must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Must have the same availability each week
• Candidate must live in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and surroundings
