Overnight Care Professional (Caregiver)
Location: Richmond / Surrey, BC
Position Type: Overnight / Night Shifts (Part-Time)

Home Instead – Richmond/Surrey is currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Care Professional to support a senior client during nighttime hours. This role is ideal for someone who is attentive, patient, and committed to providing respectful, person-centred care.

Overnight caregivers play an important role in ensuring clients remain safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night.

Please note: This client’s home is not accessible by public transit; a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight supervision and companionship

• Assist with nighttime personal care, including toileting, brief changes, and hygiene

• Support safe mobility if the client gets up during the night

• Help reposition the client for comfort and safety if needed

• Monitor the client’s wellbeing throughout the shift

• Perform light household tasks as appropriate

• Complete visit documentation in English using our Care App (training provided)

Qualifications

• Must reside in or near Richmond or Surrey, BC

• Compassionate, reliable, and patient

• Comfortable working overnight shifts

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required (client location is not transit accessible)

• Previous caregiving or home support experience preferred

• Ability to communicate and document in English

• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Assets (Not Required)

• CPR / First Aid certification

• Food Safe certification

• Experience supporting seniors with dementia or mobility challenges
