Care Professional / Home Support Worker – Driver Required
Location: Surrey, BC
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay: $19.02–$21.47 per hour, based on experience
Mileage reimbursement provided for client transportation
Applicants must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence, a reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting clients, and business-use automobile insurance or be willing to obtain it before transporting clients. Applicants must also be available to work at least one weekend day each week, either Saturday or Sunday.

Home Instead is hiring Part-Time Care Professionals / Home Support Workers to support seniors in their own homes throughout Surrey. We are looking for experienced caregivers who can provide personal care, companionship, household support, and safe transportation to appointments, errands, and community outings.

Mileage Reimbursement

Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene, and other personal care
- Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping
- Provide dementia and Alzheimer's support when required
- Safely transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
- Complete accurate care documentation using the WellSky Care App
- Communicate changes in a client's condition to the office team
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum six months of professional caregiving, home support, or senior care experience
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting clients
- Business-use automobile insurance, or willingness to obtain it before transporting clients
- Clean and current driver's abstract
- Availability to work at least one weekend day each week, either Saturday or Sunday
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client needs
- Strong communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
Additional Requirements
- Must live in or near Surrey or be willing to travel throughout Surrey
- Must be comfortable driving to clients' homes in different areas of Surrey
- Must be available for a variety of shift lengths and times
- Schedules may vary depending on client needs
