B. Comm (hons) Julie's passion for helping seniors and their families is shown every day in her work with community education and advocacy. She is responsible for the daily operations of Home Instead Senior Care ensuring the highest quality of care to clients by providing over 200 CAREGivers with a meaningful employment. One of the largest community programs she has initiated is the 'Be A Santa To A Senior' program that has delivered over 50,000 gifts to isolated seniors in Winnipeg over the past 15 years. This program teams up various community organizations to ensure Winnipeg's most isolated and lonely populations at Christmas time are delivered a gift along with a handmade children's card and a friendly visit. Born and raised in Winnipeg Julie is a graduate of the Asper School of Business in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. She is the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal presented by the Canadian Home Care Association, first ever Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011 by the Woman Business Owners of Manitoba for her excellence in business. In 2012, she was named one of The Uniter's 30 under 30, was a YMCA-YWCA Women of Distinction nominee. Additionally Home Instead has been recognized at as finalist in Community Service Excellence by the BBB in 2014 and in 2015 Julie was presented with the CBC Future 40 Award.
