Julie Donaldson, Owner
B. Comm (hons)
Julie's passion for helping seniors and their families is shown every day in her work with community education and advocacy. She is responsible for the daily operations of Home Instead Senior Care ensuring the highest quality of care to clients by providing over 200 CAREGivers with a meaningful employment.
One of the largest community programs she has initiated is the 'Be A Santa To A Senior' program that has delivered over 50,000 gifts to isolated seniors in Winnipeg over the past 15 years. This program teams up various community organizations to ensure Winnipeg's most isolated and lonely populations at Christmas time are delivered a gift along with a handmade children's card and a friendly visit.
Born and raised in Winnipeg Julie is a graduate of the Asper School of Business in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. She is the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal presented by the Canadian Home Care Association, first ever Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011 by the Woman Business Owners of Manitoba for her excellence in business. In 2012, she was named one of The Uniter's 30 under 30, was a YMCA-YWCA Women of Distinction nominee. Additionally Home Instead has been recognized at as finalist in Community Service Excellence by the BBB in 2014 and in 2015 Julie was presented with the CBC Future 40 Award.
Jojo Yap, Client Care Manager
Jojo oversees each client's individualized care plan, and the Home Instead care team. With over 15 years of experience at Home Instead, Jojo understands the complexities in the needs of aging care and will help find innovative ways on how we can help ensure our clients' needs are met every step of the journey. His dedication to support the Care Team helps ensure each Care Pro has the tools to be able to provide the best care. Everyone at Home Instead can look to Jojo for his steadfast leadership and unwavering commitment to supporting Care Pros, Clients and their families.
Lauren Woroniak, Community Partnerships Manager
With a background in psychology and nutrition, ten years of corporate leadership experience, and countless hours coordinating major fundraising events, Lauren brings unique experience to Home Instead. Working with Home Instead as a Community Partnership manager, aligns with her values of putting people first. This role allows Lauren to work with not only the wider community, but with families directly, to understand their needs and connect them with a compassionate care team.
What Lauren loves most about her role as a Community Partnership Manager is the impact Home Instead makes on families: lightening their daily load, feeling understood, and providing exceptional care.
Mandeep Kaur, Client Care Coordinator

Mandeep brings a strong blend of administrative expertise and clinical nursing knowledge to Home Instead. Growing up involved in caring for older family members, she developed deep compassion and respect for aging adults. Her healthcare background informs a patient-centered, relationship-based approach to care. At Home Instead, she focuses on aligning families with the right caregivers, developing personalized care plans, and ensuring consistent, high-quality care that preserves dignity and independence.

Sarveena grew up with a strong appreciation for elders and brings a Registered Nurse background to geriatric care. She was drawn to Home Instead because its values align with her mission to support aging adults and their families with compassionate, dignified service.

Dilini’s path to healthcare began in aging care in Australia, where she learned the power of listening to residents’ stories. At Home Instead, she helps manage billing, invoicing, and payroll for a team of more than 200 employees and clients. Her favourite part is onboarding new clients—welcoming them, ensuring they feel heard, and helping them receive the care they need. She also enjoys answering care inquiries and guiding families to a confident “yes, we can help” moment.
Jeru Ramirez, HR Coordinator

Jeru began in Canada as a Care Professional and later moved into recruiting and talent development. With over six years in recruitment and talent selection, she now focuses on attracting and staffing Care Professionals who bring empathy and dedication to elder care. Her background in psychology and aging provides a meaningful lens for selecting Care Pros families can trust with their loved ones.
