Glen is husband to Nadine and father to four wonderful children. Until a few years ago, Peterborough and the Kawartha region were a second home for them having been cottagers in the area for over thirty years. In 2019, his family moved to the community to support older adults and their families. He brings many years of diverse experience to Home Instead, having been in leadership roles with both Fortune 500 companies and in the not-for-profit sector. Glen has a deep sense of gratitude for the way his parents shaped him by modeling genuine and selfless care for others throughout their lives. He measures success by the degree to which he cares for his team and the way his team positively impacts aging adults and their families. His passion is to support and enable seniors to maximize their well-being and to build meaningful relationships in the process. He is delighted to live in the area and to invest his time and energy in enhancing the lives of older adults and their families.

Nadine believes in the value and importance of family and loves her primarily role as wife to Glen and mother to their four precious children. Nadine has spent many years cottaging in the Kawartha Lakes region, always wanting to someday settle and raise her children in the area. She is thrilled to both live and work here, all while encouraging and supporting seniors and their families in the community. She understands the struggle of being a part of the "Sandwich Generation" and being an only child, recognizes the difficulty balancing the need to ensure her widowed mother is being cared for, as well as her children. She is ecstatic that Home Instead Senior Care could be a way to bridge that gap for people in similar situations. A graduate from the University of Waterloo in Political Science and International Studies, she spent many years working at both the Federal and Provincial government levels, ultimately deciding her desire was to care for her children at home. When Nadine isn't busy chasing after their toddler and homeschooling their older kids, she manages Home Instead's social media and digital footprint. Her desire is to be an encouragement to the CAREGivers and office staff in the days ahead.

Miriah is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional. She earned her PSW certificate from Fleming College in Peterborough in 2017. She worked in home healthcare for 3 years. In 2021, Miriah graduated from the practical nursing program at Fleming College. A passion for holistic care led her to work in the mental health field for 4 years and a drive to help even more people brought her to Home Instead! Outside of work, Miriah spends as much time as possible savouring the joys of Motherhood with two little boys. As a family, they can usually be found enjoying nature- camping, exploring trails, biking or even just blowing bubbles in the yard!

I'm a dedicated professional, lifelong learner, and proud mother of four (plus one spirited fur baby!). With years of experience balancing family life, community involvement, and personal growth, I bring empathy, adaptability, and a strong sense of purpose to every environment I enter. Parenthood has instilled in me key strengths-patience, active listening, and a deep appreciation for progress in all its forms. Outside of work, I find renewal in nature, music, and time with animals-each offering valuable lessons in the power of kindness, mutual respect, connection, and compassion. I lead with warmth and authenticity, guided by a belief in the power of empathy, positivity and intentional action. My goal is simple: to leave every space brighter than I found it.

After a brief time of retirement from corporate management, I have joyfully reentered the workforce as Home Care Consultant for Home Instead. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older adults. Since 2019, I have observed and been impressed by the standard of service and compassion that owners Glen and Nadine demonstrate as they lead the team at Home Instead in their mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults and their families. It was an easy decision when I was recently invited to join the team. I look forward to connecting with community partners in Peterborough, Lindsay, Port Hope and Cobourg in an effort to collaborate in the shared mission of supporting older adults in their desire to live with dignity and safely in their homes...wherever they call home, for as long as they desire. When I am not working, I enjoy hiking with my wife Carol and our black lab, Pyper. I am also an avid golfer and try to squeeze in as many games as I can when I am not spending time with my four adult children and our six grandchildren.

Abigail relocated from Brampton to the Peterborough area with her family in 2019. She has a passion for serving others and making a meaningful impact in the community. Now, as a Recruiting Coordinator at Home Instead, Abigail thoroughly enjoys supporting our clients by onboarding compassionate and competent caregivers who will provide them with quality care. Her background, including roles in camp counseling, lifeguarding, and digital media, has fueled her enthusiasm for developing innovative ideas and being a positive impact on others. Outside of the office, Abigail enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, swimming, and getting lost in a good book.

Driven by a genuine love for helping others, I have enjoyed a rewarding career in caregiving for over 15 years. I strive for professionalism, balancing competent care with empathy and kindness. Home care is not just a job to me. It is a calling inspired by my own life experiences. ​As a Lead Care Professional, I am dedicated to both client care and the mentorship and support of my colleagues and strive to contribute to Home Instead's culture and collaborative environment. My goal is to enhance the lives of older adults and their families by training future Care Pros to be exceptional, while promoting their overall well-being at the same time. In my free time, I enjoy participating in outdoor activities with my husband and two wonderful children.

Clare grew up in Montreal, surrounded by her 10 older siblings. She married Richard and moved to Toronto where they expanded their family. Once their 3 children were of school age, Clare owned a Home Care business in the Durham Region for 7 years and embraced the seniors she served during that time. In 2019, Clare and her husband moved to the Trent Lakes area. She has since held Office Administrator positions at a few Retirement Residences in the area. Her experience managing her own Home Care team and her more recent roles have given her a wealth of knowledge, strong organizational skills, and compassion. Clare joined the Home Instead team as Office Coordinator to support the team, our Care Professionals, and seniors in the communities we serve. When she's not at work, Clare enjoys exploring the area and spending time with her family, friends and her dog, Quinn.
