Kristin A, Home Instead Toronto

With more than 20 years of global caregiving experience, Norma’s heart has guided her every step of the way—from the Philippines to Israel, and now Toronto. She’s cared for individuals with advanced dementia, mobility challenges, and those nearing the end of life. Her approach? Total dedication, deep compassion, and a sense of purpose she describes as a calling.

“I never planned to be in this field,” Norma says. “But I believe God led me here.” Over her 8.5 years with Home Instead, Norma has supported dozens of families, providing care that’s as skillful as it is heartfelt.

She has a particular strength in palliative and dementia care, often working overnight shifts to ensure clients are safe and supported while families rest. Her clients teach her daily: to slow down, to listen, and to live with gratitude. “They remind me what really matters,” she says.

What Norma loves most about her team? “They’re my family. We help each other. We share. We smile. That’s why I stay.”

Our Social Purpose.

Our social purpose starts in Toronto, ON but it carries on across the world. The Home Instead network works to create a world where people own their aging journeys. This vision drives us to expand the world’s capacity to care.
