Home Instead , what a wonderful organization they’ve treated my father with nothing short of pride and dignity and great respect. PSW‘s are stellar absolutely go above and beyond the call of duty the office staff second and then as well great communication skills visiting my father to see how he’s improving progressing, five star rating in my mind absolute stellar. It’s nice to know. There’s actually people out there who still care about people Home Instead.
Home Instead has been a wonderful organization supporting our family member living with dementia in a retirement home. Cecilia has been the most kind and patient caregiver/companion and her communication with our family has been so very helpful.

Our parents love their caregiver even though she comes to assist Dad, Mom looks forward to seeing her too. Dad's caregiver is gentle but firm with him getting him to exercise and move which he really needs. Hearing them laugh and joke with each other gives us a peace of mind knowing he is being well and attentively cared for.
Home Instead employees have been coming to my home for the last couple of months to help with my husband and chores around the house along with some meal prep. From the minute they walk in the door, I can relax or go out and enjoy the evening knowing that they are handling everything in a professional manner. It has allowed me to heal as a caregiver and look after myself while they look after my husband and other things.
Home Instead has been an incredible help to our family. The accommodations made to our ever changing schedule with our mother in law’s care has been exceptional. If appointments pop up or friends and family are taking a care shift, we are able to call and cancel shifts with out any problems. This makes everything so much easier on our family at this difficult time. The care takers (PSW) are extremely caring and professional. Can’t say enough positive comments about this company. We are so grateful for the service provided by the KW Home Instead crew, from the PSW caregivers to the scheduling department to administration. We needed 24/7 care and booked with them for many, many weeks. Setting up the daily routine was efficient and less worrisome with the scheduling process as we always had someone on site to look after our father. Which eased our worries as the siblings live out of town. Care and procedures were in place and so thankful for their training. Best wishes to the crew that helped us and who got to know our father in his final few months.

I’m new to having care in my home due to an accident and I’ve had the pleasure of having Harpreet. She’s been a joy to have in my home , she’s pleasant and always happy . Very helpful with household duties, helping with getting groceries and walking with me while taking my dog out . Harpreet is truly a lovely young lady and anyone who is lucky enough to have her in their home would definitely be pleased !

We hired Home Instead to care for our mother after she was discharged from hospital. They were AMAZING! They came to meet with us the day we called. Even with barely 24 hours notice they had established 24 hour care for her. The coordinator was easy to talk to and she was eager to do anything she could to make this process as easy and quick as possible for us. The staff were so kind and gentle and accommodating. The company is extremely flexible with changing the amount of care needed. We fairly quickly went from 24 hour care to less and less and they met our needs at every turn. I would HIGHLY recommend Home Instead if you are in need of care for a loved one. We had nothing but positive experiences with them.
Mom and Dad's caregiver not only looked after the cleaning, laundry and cooking but became a friend and companion. After Dad passed Mom depended on her to be there to look after daily needs and provide companionship. The family greatly appreciated knowing there was someone helping them.
My parents were both diagnosed with Dementia and having Home Instead come in to cook and clean for my parents was a huge relief while looking for a more permanent solution for them. Home Instead staff are extremely friendly and I am forever grateful for all of their help.
After a week in hospital, my 95 year old mom returned to her retirement home and had to go back into isolation because of covid. Truthfully, we knew that she couldn't handle any more isolation, and since my siblings and I couldn't be with her constantly, we hired Home Instead to help out. The worker they sent in to spend time with my mom was excellent, and communication with the company was seamless. We very much appreciated the service they provided during that time.
Mom suffers from both dementia and alzheimers. We recently moved her to a memory care facility. Her Home Instead caregivers were compassionate, patient, supportive and understanding. They engaged Mom both physically and mentally and challenged Mom to challenge herself. Her days were full and enriched thanks to these caregivers. It was an emotional good bye because these young women had become an important part of our family. Thank you.

Hi there we definitely recommend homeinstead for family caregivers we mostly had night time care givers who were amazing Saba, and Viviene. if you had a problem it was fixed immediately. I also found them very professional and accommodating of our schedule. Coming to the house with paper work and bring plenty of PPE for the careworkers.
Home Instead came through for us when we needed help the most. The staff listened empathetically, shared honestly about the current environment as far as the overall shortage of PSWs and still came through, finding a caring, fun and reliable PSW to support my motherinlaw during a difficult time. I appreciated that there was a kind and knowledgable coordinator overseeing the process who was totally approachable.

I am so grateful for Home Instead but especially for Jo (Client Care Coordinator). My mother's health had a sudden change and she needed 24 hour support for a short period of time. My brother and I were able to support her for a few days but we needed help. I was referred to Jo...and she was absolutely wonderful. She responded the same day and put in place a care support plan based on my mothers needs (for that very night...wow). My mother was completely comfortable with the Home Instead Support Staff...which helped her recover that much quicker. Thank you Jo for the level of care and support you facilitated for Home Instead.

We have been using Home Instead caregivers for more than 5 years for our 97+ year old father. The caregivers are so special to our family. They are friendly, kind, and excellent in every way. They prepare his meals, make sure he takes his medications, do light housekeeping and laundry, and they keep him company. Their patience for him is truly remarkable. I highly recommend Home Instead! I would like to share with you my 10 years with Home Instead services. With the regular help of my caregivers I have been able to participate in new activities like bingo, singing, and exercises. She also helps with picking up items I need and other shopping errands together. If any issues come up around the retirement home I am able to discuss them with them. They are my sounding board. They are like sister to me.
Over the last 10 years or so, we have received top-notch service from Home Instead. My Mom has enjoyed their support while she was living in her condo and following her to the retirement residence. Her HISC person always calls the night before to see if there is anything thing extra she needs to do to address my Moms’ needs.
Home Instead Waterloo caregivers have taken amazing care of my mother for the past 3 years, helping her manage the progressive day to day challenges of living with Alzheimer’s. They are responsive, fast-acting, kind, thoughtful, and proactive and given that I live far away, they go above and beyond to help us all manage through a complicated caregiving situation. Caregivers have been available to manage a wide range of issues: from crises at very short notice to help mom make it through long hours of daily life. I highly recommend Home Instead and are very thankful for the love they show my mom.

We as a family like the care giver very much. We as a family include the care giver in all emails regarding my Mother to keep her informed. The care giver emails us after every visit keeping us informed. In the last year my Mother needed more care for 6 weeks it took time but Home Instead scheduled extra care workers to help my Mother through this tough period of time.
