Simran has been a part of the Home Instead team since October 2023. She has been a team member that the office staff can completely rely on to show up on time and to provide great care.

Kuda has been with Home Instead since June 2020. He has proven to be a caregiver we can truly rely on. He is always willing to help whenever he can. We frequently reach out to him with last minute visits, and he always is eager to pick them up to help the clients.

Sharandeep has been with Home Instead since August 2022. Ever since she joined our team, she has been an incredibly hard worker and very dedicated to her clients.

Since joining the Home Instead team in August of 2022, Jillian has consistently been going above and beyond for her clients.

Jillian enjoys planning hands-on activities for her clients, such as pumpkin carving, painting, homemade crosswords and getting her clients involved in cooking which her clients enjoy very much.

Lanlinh joined the Home Instead team in March of 2021. Through her time with us, she has brightened the days of her clients through her cheerful personality.

One of Lanlinh’s clients said “Lanlinh is always eager to work and is very happy to have Lanlinh as her consistent caregiver.” Lanlinh is also very willing to pick up short notice visits when she can.

Shelby joined Home Instead in June 2022 and instantly connected with her client and other team CarePros that provide care to her client. Shelby does a wonderful job to ensure her client is well taken care of and will make herself available on short notice to make sure her client has the necessary care coverage.

Divine joined Home Instead in October 2021 and has been a wonderful asset to our team. Two of her clients have commented that her name really speaks for itself saying that “Divine is Divine.” Divine has been proven to stay dedicated to her clients and even though she has gone back to school this fall, she’s managed to keep a full time schedule.

Jerry joined the Home Instead team in November and has been highly admired by his clients since the day he started. Jerry is a very reliable, dedicated caregiver who provides top quality care for our clients. One client commented that “Jerry fit like a glove since the day he started providing care for us. We have a smile on our face from the time Jerry walks in the door until the time he leaves. We could not ask for anyone better.” This is only one of the many compliments received about Jerry.

Vanessa joined the Home Instead team in February and quickly became a favorite to all the clients she provides care for. Vanessa is always willing to go above and beyond to pick up shifts to help her clients out, and always shows up on time with a smile on her face. Vanessa is passionate about supporting and caring for aging adults in our community.

Megan has been a member of our CAREGiver team for six years. Megan is a dedicated employee who takes pride in providing the best care to her clients.

The majority of Megan’s career with Home Instead she has spent with the same client where they built an incredible bond. Megan is always willing to take on extra time with her clients so they can have a familiar face and is great at reporting any health changes to the office. Megan is punctual and dependable, and we are so lucky to have her on our team.

Akanni has been a valued member of our team for the past five months. She is always willing to go above and beyond for her clients and takes initiative in providing the very best care for them. Shannon has been with Home Instead since December of 2017. She is a certified CCA and is using her expertise to provide homecare to ensure our clients can stay in their home as long as possible.

Kamaljeet has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead since May, 2021. She has a diploma in Social Service Work with a focus in gerontology. Kamaljeet is a naturally caring person and puts her clients at ease. She demonstrates kindness, compassion, and respect every single day.

Kamaljeet always helps out by picking up extra visits without hesitation. She is adaptable to work in any environment with any client! She has built strong relationships with her clients and has a good rapport with their family members as well.

Asia has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead since June 2021. She joined our team with a background in gerontology and elder care. Asia says that her goal is to help clients enjoy their life. She is calm, polite, and friendly. Asia focuses on providing quality care to every client she visits with. She is a team player, and is always willing pick up extra shifts at the last minute to visit with any Home Instead client.

Asia provides support to a variety of clients throughout HRM with different needs. By being so attentive, she has received amazing feedback from the individuals she cares for and their family members. From her experience caring for her own grandfather, she knows how important it is to emphasize with clients and their loved ones too.

Marie has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead for seventeen years! As a retired Civil Servant, Marie wanted to continue serving her community and joined Home Instead in 2004. She has brought joy to her clients lives ever since!

“When I retired and wanted to do something that would help others I was fortunate enough to find Home Instead when they were just starting in Halifax.  Over the years I have met many seniors who have lived very interesting lives.  I consider it a privilege to have been a part of their lives and hopefully been a help to them and their families.  I hope new caregivers know that they are making a difference in their clients lives.  Many years after some seniors are no longer with us I still get cards from their families.”

Marie has the ability to seamlessly transform her caregiving relationships into friendships and her clients have thrived under her care.

Bev has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead since November 2020.  She joined our team with both professional and personal experience caring for others. She has worked in custodial care at the hospital for years, and was inspired to join our team after caring for her own parents. Bev is kind, caring, and compassionate. She will go above and beyond to meet the needs of her client.

CAREGiver of the Month June 2021 - Sheilagh H.

Sheilagh has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead since March, 2017.  We are honored to have Sheilagh on our team. Prior to joining Home Instead, Sheilagh worked in customer service for many years. She has a diploma in Human Services and has worked as a Healthcare Support Worker. Sheilagh describes herself as practical, people oriented and outgoing.

Sheilagh is kind and compassionate and provides high quality care to all clients she visits with. One of her clients, Mr. G has said that Sheilagh is truly a nice human being and the best caregiver he has ever had!

Congratulations to Eudora B. for earning CAREGiver of the Month of April! Eudora has been part of our Home Instead team since November 2019. Eudora has always shown true dedication to all her clients. She has a handful of clients that she visits on a weekly ongoing basis. Eudora’s clients look forward to her visits.

She has received many compliments two of her regular clients Mr. C and Mr. C! After her very first visit with Ms. K, her family called to request for Eudora to visit again. In addition to visiting her regular clients, Eudora has been very helpful with filling in extra visits with whoever needs care. She is reliable, and we know that can always count on her when we need her! Eudora has a very caring heart, and throughout the pandemic she has shown what it means to be an amazing CAREGiver. Eudora is outgoing and conversational. She is compassionate and a great listener.

Ashley joined Home Instead in November 2020. Ashley’s interest in working with seniors was sparked from a young age. Her
grandmother used to work in home care, and she would go with her to visit with clients. Now that Ashley is older, she is inspired to help seniors stay happy and healthy in their homes.

Ashley is very caring, empathetic, and will go above and beyond to help others. Every client that she visits with gives amazing feedback and requests for her to visit again. She is extremely reliable and is always willing to visit with any client needing care,
even at the last minute. Ashley says that she enjoys the company of her senior clients, and feels that it is a pleasure to go to work every day!

We would like to congratulate Eileen P. for earning CAREGiver of the Month of February! Eileen started working as a CAREGiver with Home Instead at our PEI office before joining our team in Halifax, and we are so lucky to have her. Eileen has been caring for seniors for over 30 years, and brings with her experience and skill.

Eileen is a very kind and compassionate individual. She made an instant connection with her clients who feel grateful for her
care. Eileen is extremely reliable, and will go out of her way to provide care for her clients. She will often cover any shifts needed, even at the last minute. She has never turned down any shifts requested of her!

Manny has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead since November 2020. Manny has over 5 years of experience caring for others. She started working as a caregiver in India, and we are so happy to have her on our team! Manny has a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry from the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, and has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Cape Breton University in Sydney, NS. In the future, Manny aspires to continue caring for others and become a doctor!

All of the clients that Manny visits with fall in love with her kind and caring nature. One of Manny’s client’s Mrs. M.’s daughter has said “Manny is so good with my mom! She makes my mom feel comfortable, and we would love to have her every day.”
