Bruce’s journey in home care began with his experience of caring for his grandmother. This profound experience ignited his vision, leading to the establishment of Home Instead Toronto 22 years ago. Under his leadership, we have flourished into the largest family-funded home care provider in Toronto, and the biggest franchise location globally. Beyond his role as Chairman, Bruce’s advocacy, philanthropy, and commitment to healthcare reform reflect his enduring dedication to our client-centric approach.

Corey joined Home Instead Toronto as President in 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from a career in private equity and investment banking. He was a Principal at Onex Partners, working on the acquisition of WestJet Airlines, management of a leading automation tooling provider (AIT), and Jack’s Family Restaurants. Corey is excited to leverage these experiences to propel our continued growth and elevate our commitment to delivering the highest quality of care.

Sharon began her caregiving journey looking after the elderly in the Niagara region, which subsequently led to a fulfilling, diverse career as a Registered Nurse. Now with a decade in high quality home care and two decades of experience at Women’s College Hospital, Sharon brings wisdom and excellence to her role as Director of Client Care. She has extensive expertise, and has held leadership roles in Gerontology, Internal Medicine, Patient Safety, Risk and Advocacy. Her insightful and individualized approach to patient care has enabled clients and their families to transition safely and efficiently to supportive care in the home. Sharon is a highly motivated and dedicated advocate, committed to the best interests of our clients. Sharon’s success was facilitated by her supportive parents, who themselves held roles in Health Care and Quality. Sharon has an interest in education support for special needs children and she supports Sistering & Covenant House, a homeless shelter for youth.

Drawing on 15 years of dedication to Home Instead Toronto and 5 years in California, Joan is a stalwart professional in fostering meaningful relationships. Her strategic contributions and commitment to service excellence set the standard for our team. Throughout her career, she has consistently surpassed client expectations. Joan spends a significant amount of time in community engagement, and is an active advocate for our mission, engaging with seniors’ residences, hospitals, and the community at large. In addition to her professional pursuits, Joan is a passionate traveler with a wanderlust that has taken her to diverse corners of the globe.

Ram began working at Home Instead Toronto first as a caregiver, which ignited his passion for gerontology and commitment to addressing distinct healthcare needs of aging adults. As a Registered Nurse, he has demonstrated exceptional skills delivering critical care in emergency medicine. Currently pursuing a master’s in leadership in healthcare policy and education within nursing, Ram is dedicated to improving healthcare at a systemic level. In addition to clinical pursuits, he serves as a mentor and preceptor for novice nurses, emphasizing a commitment to education and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Transitioning from a Personal Support Worker to Service Manager, Elvira boasts two decades of experience in home care. Driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact and a dedication to the betterment of home care services, her journey incorporates valuable personal experiences. Through her extensive career, Elvira has developed profound insights into the unique challenges faced by clients and caregivers. Her empathetic and collaborative leadership style allows her to skillfully navigate the intricate dynamics of home care. A passionate advocate for clients and caregivers, Elvira continues to forge positive connections in the home care landscape.

Immersed in the field of home care since 2004, Rafia is a certified Human Resource Professional with over 15 years of experience. Her journey was deeply influenced by her mother, who was a caregiver herself. This personal connection has strengthened her dedication to lead with compassion and seek growth. Rafia is an expert in full cycle recruitment, compliance management, auditing, and policy development. Her commitment to health and safety initiatives ensure our team is supported. Outside of work, Rafia’s interests include painting, travel and theater.

Ash is an operations professional with two decades of experience across diverse sectors, including community services, academia, and healthcare. She is the founder of Toronto Acupuncture Studio, a sliding scale clinic aimed at enhancing accessibility to complementary therapies. Fueled by a passion for wellness and adult education, Ash transitioned into the realm of corporate training and development. Her multifaceted background uniquely positions her to drive positive change at Home Instead Toronto. Outside of work, you can find Ash making ceramics, swimming, and climbing mountains.

Within a commendable 15 years tenure in the healthcare industry, Deborah distinguishes herself with a compassionate and genuine approach. Her skillful perspective on promoting and delivering client-centered care has proved efficient and proactive. Deborah’s service-oriented mindset fosters an environment where both clients and caregivers are consistently heard and valued. She is an outstanding team player dedicated to ensuring our clients receive seamless continuity of care.

Jackelyn brings 6 years experience in healthcare staffing and logistics. She excels in matching clients with caregivers to foster enduring relationships built on trust and consistency. Led by the belief that our clients receive the best quality of care when our team is taken care of, Jackie is a strong advocate for our caregivers and for work-life balance.

Elsa’s journey in home care began with a sincere desire to make a difference, having dedicated to caregiving with multiple families. Her exceptional work ethic prompted her transition from caregiver to coordinator, less than a year after joining Home Instead Toronto. Elsa’s commitment to enhancing the lives of those she serves is demonstrated on a daily basis and continues to shape her professional journey.
