Janet Hassell - Owner & President
Janet’s passion for compassionate care led her to begin with Home Instead in 2008, creating a trusted support system for aging adults and their families. As the proud owner of both the North Shore, Downtown Vancouver and Victoria offices, she is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients by ensuring they receive the warmth, respect, and personalized care they deserve.
Kelvin Monteiro - Business Director
After many years in hospitality and senior living, Kelvin has joined the team at Home Instead to support its leadership team and support the future growth of the team and business. Kelvin’s passion lies in developing people, and creating processes that allow for more time to be spent with clients and team members. Creating exceptional experiences is something that he prides himself in and looks forward to all the amazing things that this team can do together.
Saoirse Letsome O’Rourke - Operations Manager
Saoirse plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes at Home Instead. She works closely with our Key Player team to ensure seamless coordination, effective resource management, and continuous process improvements - With her thoughtful leadership and dedication to creating a positive, organized work environment, Saoirse helps our team thrive so we can continue delivering exceptional care.
Selena Ferguson - Business Development Advisor

With over a decade of experience in senior care, she is here to listen, guide, and support families as they navigate care options. Selena’s passion lies in making clients and family members feel supported and confident in beginning their journey with us.
Hannah Khoshno - Client Care Advisor - North Vancouver & Downtown
With a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a genuine passion for gerontology, Hannah brings both heart and knowledge to her role as Care Manager at Home Instead. Her approach is rooted in kindness, equity, and a deep respect for the unique journeys of each client she supports. Hannah is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families, always striving to enhance their health, comfort, and overall wellbeing. She believes that the best care comes from truly listening, showing up with empathy, and treating every individual like family.
Cristina Tomakin - Client Care Advisor - West Vancouver
Cristina brings over 15 years of experience in luxury sales and client relationship management, with a career rooted in delivering personalized, high-quality service. Her background in real estate and marketing has honed her ability to truly understand client needs and provide tailored solutions with empathy and professionalism. Passionate about people and service excellence, Cristina is dedicated to supporting families and ensuring every client experience reflects the care and compassion that define Home Instead.
Laurie Finnigan - Client Care Advisor - Victoria
With more than two decades of experience in business development, real estate, and customer care, Laurie is known for her integrity, warmth, and strong communication skills. She has built her career on meaningful connections—helping clients feel heard, valued, and supported through every stage of life. Laurie’s leadership and community involvement reflect her commitment to service and her passion for making a positive difference in the lives of older adults and their families.
Tiffany Gaschler - After Hours Support
Tiffany is a seasoned Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience across hospital and long-term care settings. Her passion for supporting the elderly led her to leadership roles managing multiple care homes. In addition to her clinical expertise, Tiffany has extensive experience in telephone nursing and now oversees our after-hours phone line, ensuring clients and caregivers receive continuous, compassionate care.
Patricia Rangel - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator
As an HR graduate, Patricia plays a key role in hiring care professionals and ensuring they are the right fit for the team. She focuses on recruiting compassionate and skilled caregivers who align with the company’s values, helping to build a strong, dedicated care team. Beyond hiring, Patricia supports new care professionals throughout their onboarding process, ensuring they feel welcomed and prepared to provide exceptional care.
Ava Marshall - Office Manager
As Office Manager, Ava plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations across both regions, supporting our team and the families we serve. With a diploma in Business Administration and a background in scheduling, bookkeeping, and customer service, she brings strong organizational skills and a client-focused approach to her role. Ava leads the scheduling team, oversees office operations, and partners with leadership on key initiatives— all while fostering meaningful connections and providing families with peace of mind.
Paula Miguel - Service Coordinator
With a background in hospitality and guest services, Paula has always enjoyed creating positive experiences for others. As a Service Coordinator, Paula helps families by matching clients with the right Care Professionals, building reliable schedules, and making sure care feels seamless and supportive. Guided by her values of empathy and multiculturalism, Paula brings both heart and professionalism to every family she supports.
Dayana Torres - Service Coordinator
With a heart for service and a background in customer care and business administration, Dayana is dedicated to ensuring clients and families feel fully supported. Sarah Jane McInerney - Administrative Assistant

With a background in physiotherapy and hands-on experience supporting older adults with complex needs, she has a deep understanding of the full spectrum of client care.
