CP Maxine has been an invaluable asset to our team, providing exceptional companionship and support for our senior and palliative clients. Let's Congratulate Marcha Wilson for being the CarePro for the month of April 2023, Marcha is an exceptional companion because she always goes above and beyond her duties to make sure that her clients are well taken care of. In this particular case, the client was having difficulty walking, and no other caregiver or even family members were able to get them walking. Marcha used a very patient and persistent approach, working with the client every day and trying out different techniques until she found what worked best for the client. The client's daughter informed us that Marcha encouraged the client to take small steps and gradually build up her strength and confidence by saying she is there to support the client and won't let her fall. She also incorporated fun exercises like dancing and singing, which kept the client engaged and motivated. In the end, her efforts paid off, and the client was able to walk again, which was a huge accomplishment. Overall, Marcha's caring and innovative approaches to caregiving make her a standout CarePro who is truly committed to improving the lives of her clients.

CP Adriana Molinares has been chosen as CarePro for the month of March. Here’s what the client’s wife has to say about her, “Adriana is an amazing caregiver for my husband. She is not just a caregiver, but also a friend and companion to him. She made sure his every need was met, from taking him on walks to preparing meals for him. She was very attentive to my husband’s talk, and we share the same language which makes it very easy for us to understand her. Adriana kept him entertained with stimulating conversation, while also being a great listener. Moreover, I really enjoyed her company and looked forward to her visits every day. ​Congratulations to our January Care Pro of the Month, Sandra Lockwood! Sandra has been a part of the Home Instead team for 2 years and has provided excellent senior care for her clients since joining. Sandra is exceptionally dedicated and devoted to her clients and is always ready to provide extra help when needed. She recently realized that the client’s husband was going through some rough times, she noticed one day that the client’s husband was unable to talk and walk like usual and upon further investigation, she could relate it to stroke symptoms. She immediately called 911 and was very prompt with her actions. She informed the office and stayed extra with the client till a family member showed up. She also regularly calls the office and makes sure that the client and the family are doing okay when she is not around! The family was so thankful that they had Sandra at the time of the incident. Meet Yirgaalem! Our CarePro for the month of December. She is an outstanding example of punctuality and is always ready to help. She has helped us in many sectors, from PSW to housekeeping and to be an excellent cook. This month, during her Serving shift she found the cook no shown at an LTC. She immediately offered to help. It turned out she did a phenomenal job with cooking and serving meals to 30 residents. Her hard work was acknowledged and recognized. Isn't she also a true example of "Give your passion a purpose"? Definitely Yes!

‘She really fit in seamlessly into mom’s schedule and had instant rapport with mom. Cindy's clients love her for being reliable and empowered while treating them with respect and dignity. Luis's contagious laugh and smile; he has created a special bond with his client John over the several months they have been together. Luis shares his heart with John as if he's family and always goes above and beyond any tasks presented to him. I love to be with seniors and like to listen to their life journeys. That's the main reason that I try to improve my care according to their needs by not being selfish towards me.' This is a leading example as to why we chose Khushbu as the CAREgiver of the month for January for the trust she's built with her clients and her passion to help others. Clients have nothing but nice things to say about Khushbu, as she continuously builds a special bond with her clients and goes above and beyond with her kind heart. Hitarth has been chosen as CAREgiver of the month for November for his loyalty, and how he shares his heart with his private clients. Hitarth works with some of our trickiest clients but despite how hard things may get, he is always calm, and treats each client as if they were his grandparents. He is always taking the time to get to know each client so that he can serve them better. He ensures their happiness and safety in all that he does. His kind heart is always in the forefront of everything he does. The families he works with appreciate his dedication to their Mom and thank him for always being there. Hitarth has a track record for never missing a shift - families truly appreciate the constancy and care Hitarth has towards his work, day in and day out.

"I was so amazed when Roberta came to visit me, she remembered everything about me from visiting me one year ago! She made me feel so important and heard. I enjoy the time I spend with Roberta; she is just wonderful" Roberta has been with Home Instead for over 6 years, in that time, she has built trust, shared her heart and taken the lead each shift. She constantly checks in with the office to share her shift reports and is a major advocate for our clients who live alone, and do not have family. She grocery shops for her clients, cooks for them, and ensures her clients are happy and healthy every single day. Most recently, she has helped with the transition of her longtime client from her home to long term care. She has been at her clients side every step of the way; she acts as surrogate family and has been a constant and familiar face in this client's life for over 6 years. Gracy shares her heart through everything she does, she is selfless, and goes above and beyond to ensure her clients are happy and safe. Gracy is very dedicated to her private clients, she will often go out of her way to fill in for her colleagues if they are sick to avoid disruptions in her client's life. Gracy takes the lead by being a lead caregiver to her main private client, she will help train her new colleagues beyond her shift to ensure the families and client are happy, safe, and well cared for. The families Gracy cares for appreciate her calm demeanor and her willingness to help no matter what.

"Kathleen takes care of my Mom as if she was her own Mom" is what Kathleen's clients would tell you, they would also tell you that when Kathleen is taking care of their loved one, they can relax and rest easy knowing their Mom or Dad is in good hands! "We never have to worry when Kathleen is there, she knows the Care Plan and we don't have to worry about checking in". Kathleen goes out of her way to plan special events for her private clients, she takes the time to get to know each client and takes the lead to plan activities around the things that bring her clients' joy. For example, she brings a special CD when she visits of music that her clients love, she plans special meals, special activities, and seasonal crafts. Kathleen truly treats each client like they are her family.

Tanya has been chosen as CAREgiver of the month because of her dedication to her clients and her work, she is known to go out of her way share her heart by taking the time to train her colleagues, and often volunteers her time to ensure all her clients are happy, safe, and that her colleagues are well trained and comfortable at their first shifts. The families that have the pleasure of working with Tanya would tell you her attention to detail and dedication to their loved one is what sets her apart.

Steeve is one of our most reliable CAREgivers at Home Instead. He never hesitates to jump in and help when a client is in need of a last-minute visit, no matter how far. - Steeve is there! Steeve builds trust with his clients with his calm and relaxed demeanor, which allows our clients to feel safe and at ease under his care. Families request Steeve, and his clients love having him as a part of their care team. One of his clients said "Steeve is always ready to help, no matter what, he is a life safer, and has made our Dads life so much better".

Leslyn builds trusts with her clients by being a constant, and reliable extension of her clients' families. Lesyln takes the time to get to know each of her clients and truly becomes a part of their family unit, which makes each family rest easy, and have peace of mind when Lesyln is around. Leslyn has been a Home Instead CAREgiver for over 6 years, and her clients and her families love her infectious personality, how can you not smile when Lesyln is around!

Jody is a CAREgiver that shares her heart with all of her clients! 

The families Jody work with always comment on her infection personality, "she just fits in, like a part of the family, we just love Jody!".

She brightens up her client's day by taking the time to get to know what each client loves and enjoy and then plans meaningful activities for each. Jody is known to learn new board games, song, movies and even learn to love hockey to make her visits meaningful.

Jody takes the time to learn about each of her clients by engaging in meaningful conversations, she always asks open-ended questions to learn more about each client, and to help provide mental stimulation throughout her visits. 

Our clients look forward to their visits with Jody, and families have peace of mind knowing their Mom, or Dad is well cared for, engaged, and mostly happy each day!

Margaret shares her heart watching old movies they both enjoy, listening to music, doing colouring and activities and she is now referred to by her client as her ‘bestie’! She built trust with her by really getting to know her. She can tell right away if her client is having a good day, a bad day, low on energy and bases the day on that to ensure she is catering to her clients needs whether they are outwardly expressed or not.

Azalia was there for her client during a very difficult time as her husband transitioned out of their home and into long term care. She would take the lead by singing and dancing to help keep her spirits up and letting her express her emotions about her husband not being there while providing support. They had special outings to see her husband where Azalia and her client would get ready early, do her make up and make sure she had some of her favourite outfits to make her feel beautiful for the visit.

Maxine came to us with 30 years of experience in working with seniors in our community, in long-term care, and within private residences. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in Alzheimer's and Dementias as well as knowledge and expertise in working with clients who have expressive behaviours. She also came to us with a HUGE heart and personality that is infectious! 

Maxine is recognized for her commitment and service to the older adults and seniors who are local clients of Home Instead Senior Care. 

The Hamilton office chose Maxine to represent their team this year because of her wow factor. The outstanding quality of her work, strength of her character and the impact she has made in the lives of our clients and their families as well as all the Caregivers of Home Instead Hamilton. Maxine takes the time to get to know each of her clients on a deeper level, she takes the time to plan meaningful and engaging activities for her clients. She takes pride in showcasing the person that each of her clients once was, whether they were a teacher, judge, doctor or the head of a household. Maxine takes the time to go above and beyond in getting to know her clients. She plans special activities and celebrates her clients culture, past, history and of course their personalities.

Maxine became our Lead CAREgiver in April, and has gone above and beyond in this role - this year and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Putting in countless hours to assist, train and educate her fellow colleagues as well as taking time out of her day to personally help in the onboarding process of new CAREGivers, especially those working with seniors in long-term care.

Maxine is known to go in an hour early, to make sure all her colleagues are happy, well-trained and prepared for work. She takes time out of her own schedule to make sure new CAREgivers get a great introduction to their new clients, facilities, and private homes that we work in. She does all this, while working 12 hour shifts, running her family home, being a Mom, and taking hours out of her day to personally call new caregivers, and all the while working through a pandemic. 

Maxine has shown leadership, dedication, selflessness, and drive to help not only her clients but her fellow colleagues. Maxine has been with the Hamilton Home Instead office for over 2 years and has dedicated her life to bettering the life of her clients and all the clients of Home Instead Senior Care Hamilton.

We know that CAREGiving is not for everyone. It is a gift to be shared, a craft to be refined over time. CAREGiving is equal parts compassion, being a non-anxious presence, problem solving and sharing the joys and wonders of the simple things of life. Maxine has, over the years, excelled at doing just that: enhancing life for her clients, supporting families and educating her fellow colleagues along the way.

Sylvia goes out of the way to take the lead with all of her clients. One family shared photos of her on easter taking her downstairs at the residence to shoot some pool which she hadn’t done in years and to top it off because it was Easter she brought food so they could cook a traditional Easter dinner she hadn’t been able to make for years. With another client she would build trust by getting to know more about his Italian heritage and went out of her way to find Italian CD’s, Italian DVDs, Italian card games and learning some Italian. It made such a difference to him and the family was so grateful.

Anthony acting as a Lead Caregiver went out of his way to share his heart by sharing his experience and making sure his fellow caregivers at the building they were working in were always okay. He took the lead by going to work early or staying late to show new staff around and liaised with residence staff as a go between for us and them.

Annabella shares her heart through food! She loves to cook and creates elaborate dishes for them from scratch and takes time to learn dishes specific to the culture and background of each of her clients. She takes the lead by planning engaging and meaningful activities for her clients like spa days, movie nights and craft activities.

Jay builds trust by taking time to actively listen and engage all of his clients. They love how he is genuinely interested in hearing their stories and getting to know as much as he can about them, their past and their families. He takes the lead whenever he can by staying late when he feels it helps, taking on extra shifts when needed and letting us know whenever he has concerns about seniors he is working with.

Sal takes the lead by always advocating for her clients and has a great attention to detail. Families know that when Sal is there that their loved will be safe, happy and well taken care of. Cindy builds trust with her clients by always being there with them to know they’re safe and able to do things they love. With her there they feel comfortable doing things that would they had been hesitant to do alone like going for walks, cooking meals, baking, gardening and in the words of one client ‘living’ not just existing.

Maxine acting as one of our Lead Caregivers has truly taken the lead over the last month. She has taken time out of her personal schedule to ensure her co workers are prepared to go to work by having calls with them before their first shift. She has assisted the recruiting team on the onboarding and training of new caregivers all the while continuing to work in a very stressful long term care environment. Helena shares her heart by always going above and beyond for her clients. She is caring, compassionate and has a natural way of making her clients feel safe and healthy! Her clients and their families send compliments to the office about Helena and her amazing way of making the clients feel safe and secure and reassuring the families.

Digna is a sweet, caring and easy-going person who is incredibly patient and loving with the older adults she provides care to. Digna is an extremely reliable and compassionate CareGiver to her ongoing client with whom she has spent many months with. She has become an integral part of her life and has built such a meaningful relationship with her. She has great respect for this work and takes the lead in the care services to ensure each client’s needs are met while in the comfort of their home. She has gotten to experience seniors with different diagnosis and backgrounds. The common feedback we hear from her clients and her clients’ families is, “We love her.” The genuine demeanour she shows outshines most.

Pinkal Builds trust by making good assessments of her clients. She reads the care plan before going into the shift, she asks questions when being introduced and takes the time to really understand her clients' needs. She presents very well and has a great understanding of dementia to make good judgement calls with her clients even if that means allowing space. She takes the lead by ensuring her clients are meeting all of her ADL goals. She shares her heart by her very giving personality. She recognizes her clients' inabilities and never makes it known. She allows her clients to be themselves alongside being of support rather than just a CAREGiver.

Cerita is one the caregivers of the month due to her natural caring spirit. She is so generous when it comes to sharing her heart. She seems to have an endless supply of joy and care that she regularly gives out her clients. Her clients cannot stop raving about her and have even gone as far as extending care to continue having Cerita caring for them. Cerita builds trust with her clients by being responsible and on time. She also builds trust with the staff by being in constant communication with the coordinators, providing updates and confirmations. She takes the lead by continually seeking new opportunities to share her tremendous spirit with our clients.

Shelley is a sweet, caring and easy going person who is incredibly patient and loving with the older adults she serves. She takes a lot of pride in the care services she provides and has great respect for this work to ensure each client’s needs are met while in the comfort of their home. She builds trust by always being there to lend a helping hand whenever it’s needed. Home Care Assistance is grateful that Desiree is a part of our family. When I asked her clients what they think of Shelley, they described her “a lovely lady who really brightens up my day”. Another client said it is clear how much she cares. Wow it is clear how much she shares her heart with clients. On one particularly hot day this summer Shelley took the lead and helped her client with the garden, pulling weeds and maintaining the plants. We salute you and all your hard work Shelley.

Kayla is our Caregiver of the Month! A few words to describe Kayla are wonderful, reliable and car-ing. One client describes Kayla as a kind woman who always takes initiative. She said it was so sweet to have her around because Kayla would do everything from having tea with her to helping organize the closet. It is not just her clients that compliment her great service, the homes we work in have expressed their gratitude for Kayla and her positive demeanor. Kayla builds trust by being reliable. Kayla is never late for work shifts. Not only is she early for her shift (we remember during a first day introduction with a new client Kayla beat Barry to the address!) she is also prepared, having read the care plan and client details to elevate her care. Kayla takes the lead by calling the office to take on additional shifts and seeking further opportunities to help her clients. Lastly, Kayla shares her heart in a uniquely and beautiful way. Kayla always has a smile on her face and it’s no coincidence that Kayla’s clients have a smile on their face as well. Kayla is a source of warmth and kindness for all those she is around. She is a natural caregiver and an example to all our team members.

Daniella is one of our newest members of the team and has been a ray of sunshine since starting after transferring from Windsor. Daniella has been building trust with one of her clients by remaining consistent to the schedule. She has never been late and has perfect attendance! This client and their family knows that Daniella will not only be physically present but, more importantly, emotionally. The client always looks forward to the visits. She takes the lead by taking the initiative of accepting extra shifts whenever possible. Daniella seems to have this authentic kindness that her clients can trust and appreciate. It’s been amazing hearing her client’s testimonials about the amazing way Daniella shares her heart!

Graziano has been working with this gentleman for quite some time. It is so beautiful to watch their relationship grow into what it is now. Graziano has spent time building trust by being on time and meeting ALL expectations set out in the Care Plan. Graziano is always sharing his heart and can often be seen cracking a joke or sharing smiles with his clients. It isn't hard to find moments where Graziano is going above and beyond. The client’s daughter remarks about how warm Graziano is and how relieved she feels when Graziano is with her father; she said it feels like placing her dad with another family member. Graziano takes the lead by being responsible and doing all he can to ensure that his client gets the best care.

Oluwatosin (Tosin) is simply outstanding!

Tosin is always in a cheerful mood and a source of joy for our clients. She has built trust by being professional and adaptable despite all the challenging changes to her clients. In terms of sharing her heart we have seen firsthand how she interacts with clients in a one-on-one setting. Tosin is gentle, smoothing and engaging. Clients refer to her as their best friend. Nurses have also called the office and stopped us in the hallway at our long term care homes to share compliments. Tosin takes the lead by staying involved with her clients, often calling to check up on them and stepping up to help introduce new caregivers while providing them with helpful tips. Tosin’s care is an example to all CAREGivers.

Our February CG of the month Sandra is dedicated, punctual, provides us with assistance at a moment's notice, caring and sincere to her clients and is always a professional while representing our company. This month, unfortunately, marks the last with us at HISC as Sandra will be leaving to pursue her dreams up North. Although we will miss her, we wish the best for her and her family on their new adventures!! Congratulations Sandra!

Our January Caregiver of the Month is one of the finest examples of a CAREGiver that displays each Home Instead Senior Care value every day.

Rolla recently a client assignment and was the strength and support to allow the family the time to be with the client until her passing. Rolla then accepted another assignment and the compliments flow in daily for her professionalism and compassion.

Helena consistently puts her clients needs first. She builds trust with the office coordinators by helping with extra shifts showing them she is there for them and the clients and has proven her reliability. Desiree has been named our May 2018 CAREGiver of the month for always giving her best for her clients and her coordinators. Through her excellent work ethic she has built trust.

During a client visit, Desiree took the lead by observing and reporting changes to her clients condition and was able to facilitate a transfer to hospital quickly and professionally which resulted in early treatment and short hospital stay for the client. She went with him to hospital to support the client and his family, as they live out the city.

Desiree shares her heart with every client and this is seen by all she works with. We receive compliments from families and clients and requests for her to be assigned to them every day! Great Job Desiree!!!

Walter keeps the coordinators at the office aware of concerns with his clients and reports on their well being. The families that live far away from their loved ones don’t worry because they know Walter is there with mom or dad.

We are pleased to announce that Ishani is our October 2017 CAREGiver of the Month!

Ishani takes the lead by always calling the office when there's a change in one of her clients’ health status.   Her judgment calls are on point and she knows when to intervene when her client needs her. She also knows when she is being asked to cross a boundary and makes sure to run everything by the office and ask for direction.

We continually receive great feedback from Gracy’s clients, and it is apparent to us that she builds trust  with seniors by respecting them as an individual.  She is punctual and flexible with her availability and this consistency of her time and attendance makes her clients feel safe.  She provides and adjusts the support needed for her client and her lovely, caring personality helps her client feel they are in great hands.

When Khadija accepts an assignment the entire office is confident in her ability to exceed the expectations of the Care Plan.  Her patience and compassion are proof of her ability to share her heart and provide world-class care.  With no indifference, Khadija is a CAREGiver that continues to exceed the status quo and deliver  service excellence.

Erika is able to Build Trust by being someone her seniors can count on. She has developed relationships and gets to know the clients personally so she can ensure their needs are being met.
She takes the lead by providing individual care and dedicating herself to her assignments. She does not have to be asked to complete tasks and she enjoys making clients smile.

Finally, Rolla shares her heart with her reassuring nature which minimizes any anxiety of the seniors lives she is involved with.

Aline shares her heart by consistently engaging clients in conversation of their choice and allows clients to open up about their day as well as how they are feeling. Aline never fails to ensure she arrives on time to every shift and never misses a day. Aline always keeps us “in the know” with any client she sees and participates in community senior events to im-prove seniors quality of life.

Satisha takes the lead when it comes to caring for her clients. Satisha will go above and beyond to find out her clients favourite activities and interests and will engage them in the specific activities on her visits. Satisha is known for opening up her availability to meet new seniors and Satisha never fails to always make the clients she goes to see, smile from ear to hear

Melanie consistently builds trust with her clients. Melanie stays with her clients as needed and is always will​ing to lend an extra hand where ever possible. Melanie also builds trust by calling the office if there seems to be any emotional or physical changes with her clients and is always looking out for her clients safety and best interests.

The way Stephanie shares her heart with her seniors appears to be so natural for her. She has a gentle spirit that definitely makes her clients smile as she arrives at their homes.   Her calming voice and gift to connect with each senior she cares for is truly special.  Stephanie’s clients are her priority and she has a loyalty to their needs and a commitment to exceeding their expectations.  Stephanie takes the lead with her clients by thinking out-side of the box to come up with great ideas and adventures that they can do together, and that the client would enjoy!   Thank you, Stephanie, for giving so much of yourself every day!!

Has been a CAREGiver with us since September 2014.   We are so lucky to have Michelle on our team.  Michelle has made such impact on so many seniors’ lives.   She has bought groceries, cooked fresh homemade meals and cleaned their homes. Most importantly, she builds trust with her seniors and the office. Shelly S  has been caring for one of our ladies for a number of months now.  I remember when they first met. The senior was very resistant and rather bothered about the visits.  It took time, but  Shelly S took the lead  and patiently offered care and companionship in such a calming, non-threatening way.  This senior now opens her door and her arms to  Shelly  S.  She has built trust in such a wonderful way.  Shelly S  always shares her heart  with the office by keeping us thoroughly updated on the emotional status of her client and how she feels she can help.

Sandra M started her journey with Home Instead almost 2 years ago and since then she has worked almost 1000 hours with clients of varying needs, from companionship to Alzheimer’s Care.  Sandra M takes the lead and shows initiative by getting to know her clients and what is important and interesting to them so that her visits and conversations are engaging.  These conversations are an exchange of their memories and her own personal experiences and demonstrates how easily she is able to share her heart.   Families are truly grateful to have Sandra M caring for their loved ones.  She is reliable, responsible and professional; conscientious about the details of new assignments, asking for clarity whenever necessary and always on time - building trust is her primary focus!

Stephanie D shares her heart by getting to  what interests her so that her visits and conversations are always engaging.  Likewise, the families of these seniors are grateful to have Stephanie D  caring for their loved ones.  Stephanie D  has shown us that she is both compassionate and thoughtful. Lucelia T takes the lead when it comes to caring for her clients. She also ensures that she arrives at every shift on time and never misses a day; she is reliable responsible and professional!  Lucelia T  ensures that her elderly and disabled clients are always well tended to and taken care of. Her diligence has made the     family members of her clients       relieved that their loved ones are well cared for. Thanks for always being there for your clients,  Lucelia!

Lori has invested almost 1000 hours of care with our seniors. She builds trust with her clients by staying with them until, whatever time, their family arrives home. If a client’s family is ever delayed for any reason, she contacts the office to advise us that she will stay with the client until someone comes home in order to ensure that the client is safe. Lori always keeps us “in the know” with any client she sees. Lori takes the lead by keeping constant contact with the office. She shares her heart by utilizing small gestures like pulling out a client’s chair, exchanging stories and engaging in laughter. It’s the little things that Lori does and we are very grateful to have her on our team. Thank you Lori!

Elaine has been with Home Instead Senior Care since November 13th, 2013. In this time she has made a strong and positive impression on her clients, peers, and employers. ​Lori is a newer addition to our team of companions, but a natural born caregiver at heart. She takes the lead by keeping Home Instead Senior Care, as well as the facility her client resides in, informed of any relevant issues to ensure quality care is being given. Recently Lori even went out of her way, on her own time, to take a visiting family member of her clients around town to run some errands. She was concerned that they may get lost because they were not familiar with Hamilton and live overseas. The family was truly appreciative of this act of kindness and this is just one example of how Lori never passes up an opportunity to share her heart with others. ​We are very fortunate to have Tricia join our Home Instead Team. In the few months that she has been with us, she has Built Trust with both her clients and the office by always being very reliable and dependable. She has a willingness to serve others and is always taking on extra shifts or helping out when a need arises. Tricia goes the extra mile for the seniors and their families that she cares for to make sure they are comfortable both physically and emotionally. ​James has become a real asset to our team and there is never a time that he will not offer to help when there is a need both in the office or with his clients. Many of his assignments have been challenging and he has always approached them with patience, understanding and compassion. ​Sihle has been a CAREGiver for over 10 years, working in a variety of environments.  Accordingly, she has a broad skill-set and brings a wealth of experience to every senior she cares for.   She has a very optimistic and gentle   approach towards her clients, their families and her co-workers. You can always count on Sihle to help out where needed, even if it is last minute and you can trust her to put the needs of her clients first. Just talking to and spending time with Sihle seems to brighten her clients day. She is like a ray of sunshine when she enters a room and it is a pleasure to work with her to help the seniors in our community age safely wherever they call home.

​Elaine connects with her clients out of a genuine compassion and concern for their health and welfare.  She shares her heart by making the needs of these seniors her top priority.  Elaine takes the lead by consistently informing the office of any changes with her clients, physically or emotionally, and if there are any necessary changes to their Care Plan that will benefit them and their families. Elaine is a real team player and there is never been a time that she turned down a shift or the opportunity to help someone in need. We have come to rely on Elaine and are  proud to have her as one of our CAREGivers and I know all of her clients and their families would agree.

​Susan is a natural born CAREGiver and she pays close attention to meeting the needs of her clients and following all aspects of the care plan. She takes the lead by ensuring the family and Home Instead is aware of any  relevant concerns with her clients or about any suggestions to the care plan that would benefit them. Susan is a very caring and compassionate caregiver who devotes her time by sharing her heart. She takes her job very seriously and is always wanting to learn new things. Susan recently completed our extensive Cares Program, where she learned more skills to help support our clients and their families who are dealing with Alzheimer's disease and Dementia. ​Rhodelyn has a very kind and gentle way about her and she is very dedicated to helping her clients remain engaged and age safely in their home. Her many years of experience as a nurse has given her the ability to handle any situation with a calm and empathetic approach. Rhodelyn is hard working and never turns down an opportunity to help, where needed. She recently volunteered her and her daughters time for our " Be A Santa To a Senior campaign" which put smiles on many seniors faces this holiday season. It is a pleasure to work with such a thoughtful and special CAREGiver and Rhodelyn really exemplifies our guiding values which are: Building Trust, Taking the Lead and Sharing her Heart.

​Santana always comes to work with a positive attitude and a smile on her face to brighten her client's day. She takes the lead by suggesting and encouraging the seniors that she visits, to engage in activities in which they really enjoy based on their interests and hobbies. Santana is educated and trained as a Community Service Worker which helps her create memories, share stories and communicate not only with her clients, but their families as well. Everyday she comes to work ready to make a difference, whether it is helping her fellow CAREGivers by picking up extra shifts or finding new ways to meet the needs of seniors in our community. Santana is a true delight to work with and a real asset to our team.

​Sandra has many years of experience taking care of seniors and we were very fortunate when she joined our team back in September of this year. She has a calming personality and a natural ability to care for people even in stressful situations. I think it is her ability to empathize with her clients that makes her a shining star. Sandra takes the lead by making suggestions that will benefit the client or trying new approaches to solve difficult problems. She is always helping out her fellow CAREGivers by picking up extra shifts or by giving the office flexible availability to meet our clients needs. Sandra is always friendly, has a positive attitude towards others and you have to smile just talking to her because of her sense of humour. It is wonderful working with her and her clients feel the same way.

​Walter is such an asset to our team and such a delight to work with He builds trust with the family and client he is currently with by always showing up on time, reporting any concerns in a timely fashion and keeping in good communication with the office. Walter is a very respectful, compassionate and caring person and he shares his heart by treating his client like he would his own family. He has gone the extra mile by bringing in music and books from home that he knew his client would enjoy just to make him feel more comfortable in his new surroundings. Both the facility Walter works out of and the family of his client can't say enough good things about what a great job he has done and the difference he is making. Walter is a true team player by picking up extra shifts and helping out when asked to do extra tasks. We are very proud to have Walter as part of our team and we can all learn from his example.
