Chris Robertson, Owner

An experience with my parents inspired me to bring this service to Cape Breton. Understanding that caring for a loved one can be a stressful experience, we are here to help.

Spending 10 years working in the Diabetes industry with Johnson and Johnson gave me the opportunity to work with great health care professionals and meet some inspiring individuals. This experience helped me to recognize the challenges families face as we age. I decided to open a Home Instead Senior Care franchise because I want to make a difference in our community. My goal is to be a community resource and help people remain safe and comfortable in the place they call HOME.

My wife Susan and I both grew up in the area and after 10 years in Halifax, we are thrilled to be back in Cape Breton. We are excited to be close to our parents and feel there is no better place to raise Luke and Anna.

Ian McNeil, Community Engagement Coordinator

​Born in Port Hood, Cape Breton, Community Engagement Coordinator Ian McNeil is the newest member of our team. A former broadcaster and published author, he has also worked as a communications consultant, workplace educator and in economic development, building relationships with friends, students and colleagues in every Cape Breton community. He is also an active volunteer, often called upon to host public events in the role of master of ceremonies. During off hours, he is fortunate to spend time with his parents in Howie Centre and his son's family in Florence, Cape Breton.
