The Home Instead Burnaby team is thrilled to report that its 2023 “BE A SANTA TO A SENIOR” campaign is shaping up tremendously!!

Coming out of the pandemic, such initiatives are a humble effort to help create some holiday cheer to lonely and isolated seniors in our Burnaby community. For many seniors, regular social interaction is limited or missing, and the lack of companionship and related sadness are major concerns. In this backdrop, the holidays season, usually a time for merry for most, becomes an even harder for seniors struggling with loneliness and depression.

The entire team at Home Instead Burnaby is proud to manage the ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ campaign for 2023 and bring some merriment to seniors in our community. As part of the 2023 campaign our team will be providing gifts for over 200 seniors within Burnaby!

The Home Instead team is grateful to our partners at London Drugs and our wonderful volunteers, who eagerly devoted their time and efforts to help underprivileged seniors within Burnaby beat the “holiday blues”.

A special shoutout to our little friends at Chaffe Burke Elementary School, who prepared personalized postcards for each senior who is part of the 2023 campaign. We are grateful to these students for their thoughtful and kind participation.

Heartfelt appreciation to our friends at the BC Care Providers Association and SafeCare BC for the support from their team of energetic volunteers who helped us pack all the gifts.
