Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for your interest in our services. I was first introduced to Home Instead when I started working at Home Instead's Global Headquarters. I was the Business Performance Manager for the owners of Home Instead offices throughout Canada and nine states in the U.S. Through these experiences I quickly realized how so many lives were being positively impacted by the flexible and customized services we could offer. At the same time, my family was caring for our grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and the realities of caring for an aging loved one affected my outlook on how care could be delivered. Victoria and I knew we could play a critical role in caring for others and this aligned with our passions.

Every day we educate and inform families about our flexible services, how they can be customized, and about our team who is dedicated to going above and beyond to provide peace of mind and quality care to our clients. We share that we can help our clients and families take control of their care - on their terms. We want families to know that just as our business is family owned they can count on us to treat their loved ones as we would treat our own family.

​​Victoria is responsible for training all of our CAREGivers in our Alzheimer's CARE Training. She also conducts educational workshops in the community on Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias, directed at individuals who are interested in learning more about this disease.

​​My name is Karin Ferrell and I am the Operations Manager here at Home Instead. I come from a fairly large family and growing up in a small town I was raised to always put others before myself. This shows up every day here at Home Instead when we go the extra mile to make an impossible situation possible. Since the age of 13 when I started my first job in the customer service industry, I've always known that I receive the greatest satisfaction from helping others. As a single mom to 3 children and a dog, I understand how stressful life can get when it seems like the world is spinning out of control. Here at Home Instead we help put the minds of our clients and family members at ease assuring them that we will deliver on the exemplary care that has come to be expected by us in our community. A large portion of my role is devoted to taking any inquiries regarding our services and to ensure those inquiring about service know that we care and are here to help. Joy Cooke, CAREGiver Training and Engagement Coordinator

My name is Joy Cooke and I am the Office Coordinator at Home Instead of Sarnia. I have always had a passion for serving others and have tried to model and teach this quality to my three children. My mother also lives with us and has helped me to pursue my long-time goal of a career where serving others is at the focus. I have recently graduated with honours from Lambton College as a mature student and am now a registered Social Service Worker. My experience working for the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton has introduced me to this amazing opportunity of a career with Home Instead. I am thankful to be a part of such a passionate team. I am excited to join this team, working together to ensure our clients, CAREGivers, and families are being treated with the utmost dignity, compassion, and quality of care that they deserve.​

The moment I met the Home Instead team, something just resonated with me. I come from a nursing background where I spent my years caring for others in numerous healthcare settings. Taking the leap to end my floor nursing experience to become a Coordinator with Home Instead allows me to continue to assist those in need; something I feel very passionate about. There truly is no greater feeling than knowing you’ve helped someone who genuinely needed it.

Life is all about choices; I believe we should always choose kindness and bettering a life whenever possible. Our foundation of “relationship before task” is what sets Home Instead apart from other home services. We believe in forming connections with our clients, in order to provide the best possible services to help enhance client quality of life. I feel very privileged to be a member of such a wonderful team, full of caring and compassionate individuals.

My name is Jaime and I am very excited to be the Office Coordinator for Home Instead. I am born and raised in Sarnia by my grandparents who taught me to always be kind and help others in need. I pride myself in how much care I have for others, and I have passed that onto my two amazing children.

I have over 25 years in the administrative field, as well as a nutrition background. My previous career at Bluewater Health in Sarnia has helped me with connecting to the seniors in our community. I am very excited to join the team, working together to provide for our clients and making sure that families are treated with the compassion, care, and respect that they deserve.
