Kathryn Bolissian — 2025 Home Instead Care Pro of the Year Rising Star Award
Kathryn Bolissian, one of our dedicated Care Pros here in Markham, was named a recipient of Home Instead's Care Pro of the Year Rising Star Award — selected as one of only ten Care Pros across all of North America. Out of more than 100,000 Care Pros in the Home Instead network, this recognition was truly extraordinary. In April, Kathryn travelled to the 2026 Home Instead Convention in Denver, Colorado, where she was formally celebrated alongside the top Care Pros across the entire network. We couldn't have been prouder to be in that room with her. Kathryn was born and raised in Toronto and has called Markham home for many years. She's a devoted mother of three daughters, and her youngest daughter, who lives with Angelman Syndrome, has shaped the way she approaches caregiving in profound ways. She brings to every client visit the same patience, advocacy, and steady compassion she draws on at home — treating each person she supports as an extension of her own family. Before joining Home Instead in 2022, Kathryn spent 11 years as a daycare teacher. When she felt called back to meaningful work, caregiving was a natural fit — a reflection of the values she's always lived: empathy, reliability, and genuine care for others. Her clients feel that difference. Whether she's preparing a comforting meal, establishing a calming routine, or offering a reassuring presence during a difficult moment, Kathryn shows up — steady, attentive, and genuinely invested in the people in her care. We're grateful every day that families across Markham get to experience care like Kathryn's.
