About Us

James Chalmers, Owner and Managing Director
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for your interest in our services. I was first introduced to Home Instead Senior Care when I started working at Home Instead Senior Care's Global Headquarters. I was the Business Performance Manager for the owners of Home Instead Senior Care offices throughout Canada and nine states in the U.S. Through these experiences I quickly realized how so many lives were being positively impacted by the flexible and customized services we could offer. At the same time, my family was caring for our grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and the realities of caring for an aging loved one affected my outlook on how care could be delivered. Victoria and I knew we could play a critical role in caring for others and this aligned with our passions.
Every day we educate and inform families about our flexible services, how they can be customized, and about our team who is dedicated to going above and beyond to provide peace of mind and quality care to our clients. We share that we can help our clients and families take control of their care - on their terms. We want families to know that just as our business is family owned they can count on us to treat their loved ones as we would treat our own family.
Our company mission statement is "With care, compassion, integrity, and excellence, we will over-deliver." We seek to fully understand the emotions, challenges, and needs of our clients and families and take great pride in providing peace of mind through exceptional service. If you or a loved one is investigating senior care options please don't hesitate to call our office. We are more than happy to assist in any way we can.

Lynda McNabb, R.P.N., CAREGiver Experience Supervisor
I was born and raised in London, Ontario, attending public, & high school as well as a nursing program with the Ontario Department of Health. I married a wonderful serviceman and we had the great opportunity to travel through some of Canada raising 2 sons. I am also the very proud Gramma of 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson. I can not tell you how blessed I was to be able to care for my mother in law for 8 years as we as a family ventured through her dementia and face some of those tough challenges. As well I provided nursing care for both of my parents during their last 5 years, being able to keep them in their home until and then walking that journey with them providing palliative care. During my many years of nursing I have had the chance to add to my educational knowledge with so many courses some being a specialty course in Palliative Care Level ll, Alzheimer's training, GPA, Montesorri training for dementia care, taught part time activation in long term care through Fanshawe College, taught PSW night program at Wheable - cognitive impairment, mental health, death and dying and communication. I have just recently completed my ASIST training which has given me the chance to help those suffering with depression and suicidal tendencies. It has truly been an honour to mentor over 200 students during my nursing career. I have worked in geriatric nursing for the past 35 years and was fortunate to also work in a specialty nursing unit at Children's Hospital for 5 years. I have been a Recreational Director of a Long Term Care facility for 20 of those years, assisted with opening of a new Retirement Residence, the training of all staff, and implementing a recreational program prior to hiring a recreation coordinator. I have held the position of Director of Care at a Retirement Home and sat on many different committees. I can not tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of the Home Instead family. James and Victoria not only have a mission and vision statement that they understand and believe but they live it and teach it every day. Home Instead walks the talk and not to many places can honestly say that. It has been such a time of growth for me to get to know the caregivers, clients and some of the families since coming on board in mid November. Being able to have seniors stay in their homes and still feel a sense of control and independence is what I am all about. Being able to give families that peace of mind that their loved one is going to be taken care of in the same manner they would take care of them is important to me and I am committed to make sure this happens. Seeing that caregivers are treated with respect and heard and understood stands high on my priority list. I can not tell you excited I was to get the call from James to join his team and at how welcoming this company has made me feel. So many companies talk about team work but I have actually witnessed it and how great it is to see this team work so well together and respect each other unconditionally. I hope to be a part of this family for a long time and to also be apart of the community family. A saying I have lived with for a long time I think says it all "Be yourself...because everyone else is taken" That's who I really am.

Lyndsay Voisin, Client Experience Supervisor
I stepped into my role as the Client Experience Supervisor with ease and grace thanks to my 15+ years in the customer service & management fields. In my personal & professional life I always wanted to be available to offer a helping hand, an open ear and mind to anyone who needed it. My personal goals of ensuring that people can trust me, rely on me and my ability to effectively communicate have fallen hand and hand here at Home Instead Senior Care. Each time I reach out to our clients and their families, I offer my heart so they know and feel just how much we care and how we will go above & beyond to ensure their loved ones are happy, safe & comfortable.
My role at Home Instead Senior Care has brought a new perspective to my life and I am thankful and excited to work for a company that is dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and their families. When I meet our caregivers, clients and families, I feel assured that our hearts are in the right place. Leaving me confident and proud to be part of the Home Instead Senior Care family.

Deborah Parker, Home Care Consultant
As a longtime resident and business person here in London, my experiences in life have led me to a position of truly doing what I love. My passion for helping others started a long time ago as a young person volunteering as a candy striper in nursing homes. Helping others has been a life-long passion of mine.
Having had to navigate the senior care system, it can be overwhelming. I learned though my own experiences with both of my parents as I lived more than 2 hours away and out of the country so I could not always be there to support them. I personally know the importance of having outside help to make it easier on all family members in this very busy life we all live today. Making sure our loved ones have the best possible care when we are not able to be there 24/7 is of utmost importance.
Being a Home Care Consultant for Home Instead Senior Care is a great fit because I know I'm educating and guiding people along the path on what to do when our loved ones are in need of extra help.
I feel proud to be part of the Home Instead team, knowing that I'm working with a company that aligns with my values and provides the care, integrity and compassion that our loved ones so greatly deserve.
If you see me out in the community please say Hello!
