Care Professional of the Month - June 2022

Congratulations, Blessing A., for being our Care Professional of the Month – June 2022!!

Blessing has truly been a blessing for our Home Instead care team. With every client she has supported, her compassion, attention to detail and professionalism have shone through.

She is one of our go to Care Pros during a time of need, especially where we need support with complex care plans. Blessing’s sunny disposition, ability to easily connect with seniors and the knack for facing any given task head on has helped enrich the lives of many of our clients. It has been a joy to work with Blessing and we are proud to have her as a team member.

Where were you born? Where did you grow up?
I was born in Lagos, Nigeria. That is where I grew up as well.

How long have you worked at Home Instead?
I have been working at Home Instead for over 7 months now.

What’s your favorite part of being a caregiver?
Having meaningful conversations with clients always makes my day. With age comes a wealth of experience and wisdom. Most clients are willing to share their stories once I gain their trust, and I learn a lot from them.

Any particular stories with a client that you would like to share?
Client Norman and Frieda are a wonderful couple, who love to explore new things and are always up and about. They look forward to having me around. Julie, their daughter, once told me she always times her visits to her parents only around the days I will be over. According to Julie, those are the only days she is sure of meeting them at home!

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am 37years old. Married with 2 adorable kids. Family means everything to me, and I go the extra mile for anyone I refer to as family.

God Bless you, Blessing!
