About Us
Meet Our Team
Betty Phillips, Owner

Betty Phillips, Owner

Betty took a summer job working in a nursing home immediately out of high school before she went off to Ohio University to study Medical Dietetics that fall. She developed her passion for helping Seniors and became aware of the challenges they face with rehabilitation, isolation, moving out of their homes., family dynamics, the progression of geriatric disease and ailments but also the joy and vast experiences they have to share with those willing to listen. She worked at the same nursing home every summer and after graduation for a total of eight years. She continued her education in senior care by attending Franklin University to further her knowledge in Healthcare Management and Administration where she expanded her scope into managing a Senior Care facility. Betty found Home Instead Senior Care through a couple of local owners who educated and marketed the services to her for her clients and she thought "That's it, all these seniors need is a little help at home, and they can stay home forever." She started her Home Instead Senior Care September 1, 2008. Betty is married and has two adult children. The love of her life is Preston her 8-year-old Springer Spaniel who does come to the office and spend the day occasionally.
Steve Phillips, Director of Business Development

Steve Phillips, Director of Business Development

Steve is a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Education. After graduating from Ohio University, Steve worked in post-secondary textbook publishing for over twenty-five years, earning various awards in Sales Excellence. What Steve enjoyed most was the fact that the educational materials he was representing helped students improve their lives and helped them to better their future. Because he has great passion to help others, it was easy for Steve to relate to Home Instead’s values right from the start. He feels proud that Home Instead is in the business of helping people stay in their homes safely and allows them to maintain an independent life style. Steve has been a part of the Home Instead team for three years and oversees the recruiting, interviewing and training of employees. He prides himself on helping our team grow both personally and professionally. Without him, it’s safe to say that we wouldn’t have the great team dynamic that we do today.

Rasnva Fike,Retention Recruitment Coordinator

Raz is an OSU graduate with a B.A. in Psychology. She has lived in Central Columbus her whole life. She has a passion for caring for people who need extra support and being a listening ear for others.  Raz started out working with children directly out of high school doing daycare and summer camp.

After graduating from OSU in 2017, she worked with at-risk teens in a residential home for a year, then she became a special needs teacher for the next 5 years. Being a teacher for kids on the Autism spectrum as well as other disabilities taught Raz that our differences really do make the world an interesting and better place. She knows that there is something to learn from everyone because her students taught her so much about love and life.

Raz loves spending time with her husband, twin daughters Leena & Sonya (10 years old), and their two cats. She is close with her mother as well as her tight-knit group of friends. She loves road trips, trails/hiking, travelling internationally, thrift store shopping, and drinking tea with dark chocolate. She also enjoys meeting new people.
