For the month of September, we have selected the extremely talented and dependable Melissa Staudinger as our CAREGiver of the month! Melissa has been a part of our team for three years and in her time here has been able to consistently form positive relationships with her clients. She can shift a client’s mood and brighten their day with her optimistic outlook, approachability, and confidence. Melissa is also a mother of two, loves to bake, enjoys the outdoors, and her favorite part of CAREGiving is making her clients smile. She works hard to complete the tasks requested of her while bonding with the client and upholding our mission to provide the highest quality of care to our clients and their families. Thank you Melissa, for always stepping in to help and being an integral part of our Home Instead family. Congratulations!
We are thrilled to announce that we have selected CAREGiver Pia Lutzen Brown as our incredible CAREGiver of the month for August! Pia began working for Home Instead in 2015 and came to us with a varied background as a nurse and English teacher abroad. Her passion for seniors is shown by her attention to their needs and ability to allow their interests to guide her care. She is also a phenomenal storyteller - perhaps due to her travel experiences that have given her stories from around the world. Pia’s reliability, compassion, and patience help her to connect with a variety of clients and she consistently provides them with the care they need and deserve. We are so glad to be able to celebrate her skills and passion and are grateful that she is a part of our team!
For the month of July, we have chosen Valerie to be our extraordinary CAREGiver of the month! Valerie first began caregiving with Home Instead in 2010, and returned to us again in March 2019. Since her return, Valerie has been an integral part of our team; she attends to each detail of care and shares her heart with each client she sees. Valerie takes pride in her work which is evident in her level of professionalism out in the community and in the joy she radiates each day knowing that she is making a difference. We are so excited to extend this honor to Valerie and highlight her talents as a CAREGiver.
Congratulations Valerie! From all of us at Home Instead Senior Care we want to thank you for sharing your joy, your passion, and your skills with us as we work together to provide the highest quality of care to our clients and their families.

Stephanie has shared her heart from the very first day she started with Home Instead Senior Care in 2015. Steph quickly adapts to the client’s needs, focusing only on them while performing tasks and communicating in a personal, yet professional manner. We have had many unique situations where Steph has been the perfect fit to be assigned to the client. These clients range from having advanced dementia, where they are resistant to care to the positive stories where we are taking a client to a wedding! She is the perfect fit to so many scenarios as she is professional, resilient and so so very caring. Stephanie’s personal standard of care and her beliefs are in line with Home Instead’s values where taking the lead, building trust and sharing of her heart come second nature.
Stephanie has enriched and touched the lives of Calgary seniors through over four thousand hours of care! Congratulations on being our 2018 CAREGiver of the Year!
