Congratulations to our Immersion Initiator Samantha! Our Care Pro of the month is celebrated for creating meaningful connections through immersing her clients in the world around them. Samantha builds trust, fosters companionship, and enriches the lives of the older adults in her care.
With a natural gift for conversation and a calm, reassuring presence, Samantha creates a safe space where clients feel understood. She encouraged Louise to let go of feelings of guilt about accepting help, becoming her personal cheerleader through hallway walks, uplifting conversations, and readings from Chicken Soup for the Soul. Her ability to immerse was recognised by the care home staff as well as family.
Samantha also developed a remarkable bond with Gladys, helping her overcome anxiety about leaving home and successfully accompanying her to an important appointment—followed, of course, by an ice cream outing. Through colouring, reminiscing, and shared conversations she guided Gladys past her hesitations into a fun afternoon.
Through strong communication and a natural affinity to build connections, Samantha maintains consistent engagement with her clients. It is our pleasure to spotlight her talents and efforts in this award. Congratulations Samantha!
