Bonnie, Home Instead of Saskatoon CAREGiver of the Month - March 2022

We are thrilled to recognize Bonnie as our CAREGiver of the Month, for March 2022

Bonnie, as you approach your first-year anniversary with Home Instead, we have watched you grow and flourish with each new assignment and we are celebrating your work! You came to Home Instead after observing a Home Instead CAREGiver at your previous workplace.  You said you felt this was exactly what you needed to do - and now, nearly a year later, you have discovered you were right and have served 19 different clients and worked over 850 hours. Bet you never expected that!

Each client we serve has their own unique and sparkling personality, qualities, and challenges. We have placed you into some homes that needed someone just like you, to come in and form that connection so the bond and trust could begin to grow.  You have a gentle, effortless way about you, Bonnie, and this puts the older adults we care for at ease.

There were times when you asked if we truly felt you could handle particular assignments. We had confidence in you from the beginning, and you have proven us right time and again. You not only have the willingness and eagerness to take on new challenges, but you also bring humour, empathy, kindness, and compassion to your clients. You attend to details in a way that makes it easy and fun for our client and lifts their burdens.  You build friendship and are a sincere companion.

Seeing you advocate for our clients is when we see how much you care, and we know your clients feel this when you’re with them. You have worked with clients who feel lonely and lost and have made their days so much brighter and better.

Bonnie, you are a terrific addition to our team. When you share your concerns with us, it shows that you understand we are here to support you. You trust in us, and our clients trust in you.  We appreciate your dedication to our elderly clients and our mission. We witness you working hard to alleviate their problems, thereby, lifting so much from the shoulders of clients and their families. We get to hear the appreciation from families for your beautiful work with their loved ones. This is always a delight for our office team.

We love to see you light up with excitement when we talk about a new client together. Your enthusiasm is apparent, and you figure things out as you go. You have had to step out of your comfort zone at times and the result was growth for you and excellent care for our clients.

Thank you, Bonnie, for trusting us, for sharing your heart, for building relationships and being that continuous, dependable friend to our clients.

We are so fortunate to have you as a part of the Home Instead team.
