It is with ease that I am writing this review in support of Home Instead. I became my mother’s main caregiver last year. It was incredibly important to my mother that she stay in her home. She has worked hard too many years to be self-sufficient. My sister, who lives out of province, has come here many times to provide me with respite care which I appreciated. There was no feeling of being rushed. Home Instead understood, I was going to be allowing someone to come into my mother’s home to care for her knowing that she did not want this. Since this past summer, the care professionals have been “visiting” my mother on a regular basis. The compassion, kindness, respect, patience and care that is given to my mother is amazing. One of the care professionals has recently created a bond with my mother, and another is getting very close to the same. This is a miracle, and I am so very grateful.
