Santa works year-round! Now is the time to start making those wish lists to spread Christmas cheer for seniors in our community who are less fortunate.
Be a Santa to a Senior
Be a Santa to a Senior is a special campaign for seniors (60+ years) in the central and south Okanagan.
How it works
Neighbourhood support groups, residential care and assisted living communities to collect names and gift suggestions and then our Home Instead Senior Care Elves put those in a beautiful Christmas ornament. Each ornament then gets hung on a Christmas Tree at London Drugs, a key supporter of the program for the past 13 years. Shoppers pick an ornament, purchase the gift and leave it at the Customer Service desk of the store by December 15th.
Home Instead Elves – a combination of office staff and volunteers - do the rest! After checking, sorting and stashing each gift, it’s time for delivery!
The 2016 Campaign collected over 850 gifts. This year we are aiming higher! We want to surprise and delight over 1000 seniors with Christmas gifts.

Elves are always welcome!
