Home Support Worker

Job Details

Whether you take pride in cooking or baking for family, carpooling for your kids' sports teams or providing TLC for a sick friend, your experience and skills can help an older person remain living at home. Whether you have life experience or formal training, if you are dependable, compassionate and are known for your common sense, you can impact the life of a senior and their family more than you can imagine. 

The type of care you provide to our clients depends on your skills, interests, and personality. Potential duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Companionship and conversation 

  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation 

  • Medication and appointment reminders 

  • Accompanying clients to appointments 

  • Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life  

Although not required, you may also care for clients who require assistance with Dementia or personal care.

Personal Support Worker - 12 hour shifts

Job Details

Sleeping between the hours of 8pm-8am isn’t for everyone, that’s why Home Instead Senior Care offers schedules for night owls who prefer to be awake overnight.

For the movers and shakers who like to have a four day work week by working 12 hour day shifts, we have schedules for you too!

Continuing Care Assistant - Home Care

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care is hiring caring and compassionate individuals who want to help older adults remain at home by offering individualized one-on-one care. As a CCA, you will help our clients tackle the various cognitive and physical challenges associated with aging, while enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
 

While the type of services you will deliver depends on your skills, personality, and the needs of our clients, potential duties include:

Home Instead Senior Care commits to ongoing skill development by providing paid training and ongoing support. 12-hour overnights and days are offered, as well as shorter shifts (minimum 3 hours) and schedules typically occur on a weekly ongoing basis. Group medical benefits with employer contributions are also available.
 

Upon hire, candidates must provide proof of CCA certificate or equivalent. Equivalents include, but are not limited to:
 

LPN(Licensed Practical Nurse)

RN(Registered Nurse)

PSW(Personal Support Worker)

Client Care Coordinator

Job Details

If you're passionate about great service and would like a position where you can help older adults remain living at home where they feel most comfortable and secure, this may be the job for you!

We are looking for a motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Client Care Coordinator who can conduct in-home care consultations, perform quality assurance visits and otherwise manage our client accounts to provide the highest quality service to our senior clients and their families.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet with potential clients and family members to discuss their needs and provide solutions in the form of a care plan.
  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as needed following the consultative sales process.
  • Work with other team members to coordinate various aspects of a client’s care.
  • Conduct client/CAREGiver introductions with every new client/CAREGiver.
  • Create and maintain client and responsible party records documenting all quality assurance meetings.
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities to modify service plans to best support the ongoing needs of clients through a quality assurance program.
  • Work with clients and their families on the various issues that may arise to ensure they are getting resolution to issues as well as receiving the services needed.
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities to introduce Home Instead Senior Care services while visiting apartment buildings, condos, assisted living communities and the hospital (superintendents, managers, care managers, nurses, social workers etc.).
  • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports
  • Participate in community events and networking events as necessary
  • Conduct care consultations/intros and other on call tasks every 3rd weekend

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • LPN or professional in a health-related field with a university degree
  • No less than 3 years of experience in a Community Care or Retirement Living role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative and computer skills
  • Competitive spirit, capable of working independently
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Self- motivated with excellent prioritizing and time management skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence and problem solve
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle and clean driving record
  • The flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment where work outside of office hours can be required

Compensation commensurate with experience and education. Medical and dental benefits available with employer contributions.
