December Care Professional of the Month – Palmis Meschi

We are excited to announce Palmis Meschi as the recipient of the Home Instead Markham Care Professional of the Month award for January 2023. Palmis is extremely caring, resilient, hardworking, and she takes any challenge she is faced with head on. She is a great asset to our team and continues to amaze us every day. Palmis has been with us for over a year and has worked with multiple clients in various situations. This exposure has allowed her to gain a greater insight into the ins and outs of senior care.

Palmis was born in the capital of Iran, Tehran, and lived there for the majority of her early life. In Tehran, she grew up with her parents as an only child. Following her mandatory schooling, Palmis went on to complete her Bachelor of Library and Information Science degree. From there, she began working as the manager of the library for the next 10 years. Eventually, Palmis immigrated to Canada in 2006 and began her studies at Seneca college. During her time at Seneca, she studied E.C.E. to allow her to get her diploma in early childhood training. She utilized her diploma to get a job as an E.C.E teacher where she worked in numerous schools and daycare centers. During the pandemic, a friend of Palmis suggested she work as a caregiver and from there she started her journey as a Care Professional at Home Instead.

In Palmis’ spare time she loves to go dancing. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, cooking, baking, and painting. Palmis loves hands-on activities that allow her to keep moving. Additionally, Palmis has had to utilize her caregiving skills at home where she has spent the last few years looking after her parents.

Palmis loves to offer a helping hand to those who need assistance with everyday tasks. Working as a caregiver brings her joy knowing she is making a difference in someone’s life. Palmis feels very honored, lucky, and proud to be working with the Home Instead team. Palmis possesses numerous characteristics such as her nurturing and kind manner, that allow her to excel as a caregiver. She brings a positive vibe to every room she enters that makes her wonderful to be around.

Congratulations, Palmis, on this well-deserved award. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as a part of our team and look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in the future.
